Passed Claude's designs off as her own to get him into Forrester
Kristen Forrester was the daughter of Eric and Stephanie Forrester, who ran world-renowned fashion house Forrester Creations. A freelance designer, Kristen worked out of New York and had stayed away from her family because of her tense relationship with Stephanie. Kristen came home, but Stephanie felt her daughter too frigid, so Stephanie hired gigolo Clarke Garrison to romance Kristen. Though Kristen and Clarke eventually married, Clarke couldn't give up his womanizing ways and got Margo Lynley pregnant. Margo wanted Clarke for herself and brought Kristen's ex-boyfriend, fashion photographer Mick Savage, to town to come between Clarke and Kristen. Realizing her marriage to Clarke was doomed, Kristen reunited with Mick, and ultimately they left town together, though Kristen often made visits home for Forrester family events.
Years later, Kristen returned to Los Angeles a single woman, so Eric put her to work recruiting Antonio "śTony"ť Dominguez, a hot new designer, for Forrester Creations. Tony had already signed on with rival design house Spectra Fashions, but Kristen accepted when Tony asked her out on a date. As Kristen and Tony fell in love, Kristen was especially happy to finally clear up years of misunderstandings with her mother, Stephanie.
Kristen was confused when Tony started pulling away, later learning that Tony had recently been diagnosed HIV-positive. Tony broke things off with Kristen and had her get tested for the virus, but Kristen decided she could live with the challenges of a sero-different relationship, even if her parents objected to the idea. Tony proposed to Kristen, and before long, Eric and Stephanie gave Kristen their blessing.
Kristen and Tony honeymooned in Africa, where a young boy stole their camera, then brought it back. The boy, Zende, invited Kristen and Tony to visit him at the orphanage where he'd been living since losing his parents and brother to AIDS. After returning home, Kristen and Tony couldn't stop thinking about Zende; realizing adoption would be the only way they could have a child, the Dominguezes flew back to Africa and asked Zende if they could be his parents. Kristen and Tony brought Zende home to Los Angeles, eventually moving to Miami, where Kristen and Tony still reside; Zende, now an adult, returned to L.A. on his own as of 2015.
