Reggie was not happy when he overheard Lily tell Jonathan that she intended to marry him. He quickly ran Jonathan off and tried to talk to Lily. Lily told him she wanted to go to her tree because she was upset, and the tree always calmed her. Reggie offered to go with her, but Lily refused the company.

Lily arrived at the tree house, where Jonathan was waiting. Lily told him that when she turned 18, she could marry him, and no one would be able to stop her. Jonathan pointed out that when she turned 18, she wouldn't have to marry him because she would be an adult and able to make her own decisions without anyone being able to tell her what she could or could not do. He told Lily that he loved her and wanted to marry her, but he didn't want her to marry him just to get away from Jack.

Lily thought about it and realized that she had more options than she had realized. She wasn't sure if she loved Jonathan, but she did want to be in a relationship with him. Jonathan told her that they could continue being boyfriend and girlfriend who loved and supported each other if she decided that she didn't want to get married. Lily liked the sound of that. They decided to continue hiding their relationship until Lily turned 18 so that Jack didn't send her away.

Kendall asked Ryan why he had kissed her. He told her that he had wanted to distract her from thinking about Zach. At the mention of Zach's name, Kendall pointed out that he had failed. Ryan smiled and suggested they make their relationship more permanent. He tried to sway her, reminding Kendall that it was a guarantee to stick it to Zach.

Kendall declined the offer, pointing out that with Zach leaving town, there was really no need to do anything. They decided to keep their relationship as it was, platonic. Ryan then showed Kendall his divorce papers from Greenlee. Kendall was surprised that Greenlee was going by du Pres instead of Lavery. Ryan suggested it was Greenlee's way of telling him that her marriage to Leo was the only one that counted to her.

Dixie was accidentally shot when JR's gun went off. While Tad, Adam, and Krystal yelled at JR, telling him that he was lucky no one had been injured, Dixie dropped to her knees in agony. Tad heard a noise outside, but by the time he went to the door and opened it to investigate, Dixie was gone. He returned inside to try to talk some sense into JR.

As Tad and Adam tried to convince JR that Janet had kidnapped Babe and Little Adam, Krystal decided to text message Janet. When they realized what Krystal had done, Adam and Tad were furious. They were convinced she had just made matters worse. As Adam once again tried to get through to JR, Tad tried to do damage control, texting Janet with another message.

It quickly became clear that JR refused to accept that Janet had kidnapped Babe and his son because it could mean that Little Adam was dead. He believed Janet was perfectly capable of it. Adam finally managed to convince JR that Janet was holding his son and Babe.

When the realization hit, JR was stunned by the ramifications. JR told them about the men he had hired and said he had given them orders to use whatever force was necessary, including shooting Babe, to get his son back. Krystal went ballistic. JR quickly made a call and changed his orders. Shortly afterward, all of them left to search for Babe.

Zach was deep in thought as he looked at a gun in his office. His contemplations led him to conjure up an image of Ethan, but before they "talked," a knock at the door interrupted him. He was surprised to find Dixie on his doorstep and even more so when she collapsed in his arms. He quickly took her over to his sofa and ascertained that she had been shot. When he tried to call for a doctor, Dixie became quite upset. She adamantly refused to see a doctor and threatened to leave if he did not abide by her decision.

Zach tried to convince Dixie that she needed help, but Dixie was steadfast in her determination that no one, especially JR, discover that she had been shot. Realizing he couldn't sway her, Zach asked Dixie to trust him and made a phone call. He told the person on the other end to send up a doctor who was sitting at one of the tables in his casino. The doctor arrived and determined that Dixie's gunshot wound was minor.

The doctor ordered Dixie to go to a hospital to have the wound cleaned and patched up, but Dixie refused. When the doctor tried to explain to Zach that he was required by law to report all gunshots, Zach reminded the doctor that he was indebted to Zach. He struck a bargain with the doctor, who gave Zach a list of the supplies he would need to take care of Dixie's wound. After the doctor left, Zach sat down to talk to Dixie. She offered to answer his questions, but Zach declined.

Babe was stunned when she saw a dead body in the freezer. After Janet put Little Adam down in his crib, she returned to the living room of the cabin and introduced Babe to Trevor. Babe was horrified. She asked why Janet had killed Trevor. Janet denied that she had done any such thing. Janet explained that she had only frozen him. In her delusional state, Janet believed she could defrost Trevor when things settled down.

When Babe asked Janet how Trevor had ended up in the freezer, she listened with growing concern as Janet told her about Trevor confronting her one night. After telling Janet that she was mentally unstable, he had tried to take her to a sanitarium. Janet said that on the way out the door, she had spotted Trevor's golf club, picked it up, and proceeded to bash Trevor with it. After that, she had put him in the freezer.

As Janet was talking, she was growing increasingly agitated. In the hopes of calming Janet down, Babe started talking about the new life they were about to embark on as mother and daughter. She tried to convince Janet that they needed to make JR think Babe was returning Little Adam so he would release Krystal. Once that was accomplished, they could start their new life. Unfortunately, at that moment, Janet received a text message on Babe's cell phone. It was Krystal. The message read, "Babe, I'm ok. Let my daughter go, you bitch!"

Babe was crushed, and her eyes welled up with tears. Janet mistakenly believed they were tears of joy that her "old" mother was safe. She saw it as an indication of what a loving and good person Babe was. Thrilled that Babe had become her daughter, Janet once again found a measure of calm. Then Tad text messaged Janet. He tried to convince her that he was willing to help her because she had once saved his son, but Janet was distrustful.

Babe tried to convince Janet of Tad's sincerity, to no avail. Babe once again appealed to Janet to return Little Adam to JR. She told Janet that as long as they had Little Adam, JR was going to keep going after them until he was reunited with Little Adam. Janet shrugged off the concern. She was confident she could easily outwit JR.

Later, as they prepared to leave the cabin, Babe dressed Little Adam. As she talked to him, she shared her plan to save them when they reached civilization. Just then, Janet walked into the bedroom, clearly not pleased. She told Babe to take Little Adam's coat off and informed her that she and her son were never leaving the cabin.

As Tad searched for some sign of Janet, David punched him on the jaw. Frustrated at not finding Babe, David blamed the disappearance on JR and Jamie. David told Tad that Dixie was the only one who could help them. Tad said Jamie and JR's life had gone "straight to hell" after Dixie's death, and it was David's fault. David said he had made Dixie happy, and Tad said Dixie had only loved him.

Tad and David recalled the reasons Dixie had left, blaming one another. Tad said he would not stay and grieve Dixie with David. David revealed that he had already searched the well where Janet had stashed Natalie, and it was empty. Tad, all alone, spoke to Dixie and asked for help. He told Dixie that JR was a mess and afraid he was going to lose someone else in his life. Zach and Dixie saw a light and headed toward it, unaware it was Tad's flashlight.

Zach offered Dixie a room at his casino and protection from whomever had shot her. Dixie told him that JR had accidentally shot her. Dixie explained that as she had lurked outside, JR had been upset because his son was missing, and he had shot through the door. Dixie said that Janet was crazy and capable of anything. Dixie insisted that she had to help JR find his son, but Zach made her sit down and have some water.

Dixie told Zach that she knew how to look for Janet. She said she had to help find Little A because she knew what it was like to not know where one's baby was. Dixie explained that when she had gone to Europe, she had been pregnant with a little girl, but she couldn't go on with the story. Zach again told her that he would add his men to the search. Dixie reminded Zach that he wasn't going to get involved in other people's lives. Zach conceded the point and told her she was right, but he would follow her as she looked for Babe and Little A.

JR attacked Amanda and demanded to know where Janet was holding Babe and Little A. Derek entered to go over some information with Amanda, and he threw JR out. JR told Jamie that he couldn't lose his family. He broke down in Jamie's arms. Jamie comforted him and told him to trust them. Amanda made Derek promise not to hurt Janet and to help find Trevor. Amanda looked at a brochure and realized Janet was holding them at the fishing cabin.

While holding a large sledgehammer, Janet told Babe that she and Little Adam were never going to leave the cabin again. Janet explained that the cabin was their new home and told them how wonderful it would be for the three of them. Babe continued to pretend to be concerned about Janet, but Babe told her they needed food and supplies. Janet showed Babe a wad of cash she had gotten from raiding the Chandler wall safe.

Janet said it was time for dinner, and she opened the freezer and visited with Trevor. Janet told Babe not to be afraid of Trevor because she wouldn't let him out until he was ready to play nice. She took out a frozen solid large leg of lamb and set it on the table. Janet rambled on about how the lamb was too frozen for dinner, but they could have pasta. Babe kept looking for a chance to club Janet with the lamb leg, and as Janet set the table, she found it.

Janet went down, and Babe checked for a pulse. As Babe checked Janet's pockets for the keys, Janet grabbed her. Janet told Babe that she had given her hope that they could be a family. Babe told Janet that she couldn't just lock people up when she felt like it, and Janet asked, "Why not? They do it to me." Babe called Janet crazy, and Janet said Babe would get what she deserved. Janet still wouldn't let Babe see Little Adam, and Babe asked Janet what kind of mother she was. Janet told Babe that she was Little Adam's new mother.

Adam tried to calm Krystal down, but she shunned him. Adam asked what he could do to make it up to her, and Krystal told him to get Babe and Little Adam home. Krystal told Adam the whole truth about how their marriage had happened. She told him how she'd conned him to get him to marry her. She said she had married him on purpose so Babe could have her son.

A very confused Adam tried to put it all together, saying Krystal had been as drunk as he had been when they had gotten married. Krystal told Adam that when Babe and Little Adam returned, she was gone -- no more marriage, no more anything. Adam said he would not let her out of the marriage because he loved her.

Wednesday, March 8, 2006

Adam told Krystal that he loved her. She reminded him that she had married him on purpose in order to provide Babe the opportunity to spend more time with Little Adam. Adam continued to insist that he loved her and suggested that Krystal returned the feelings for him. Krystal denied loving him. She told him she could only think about finding Babe and their grandson.

As Zach and Dixie searched the woods in the hopes of finding Amanda, Tad approached. Dixie managed to hide before he could see her. Tad was suspicious about Zach's presence in the woods. Zach tried to convince him that he was just trying to help find Babe, but Tad didn't believe him. Tad suggested that Zach's real motive was to find Janet because she was responsible for Ethan's death.

Zach was stunned. He'd had no idea Janet had been responsible for the explosion. Tad was sympathetic but insisted that Zach leave the search for Janet, Babe, and Little Adam to Tad and the police. He feared Zach would only make a bad situation worse, as Zach had every reason to want to see Janet dead.

When Jamie called Tad with news, Tad issued one final warning for Zach to go home and left. Dixie emerged from her hiding place and offered Zach her condolences. Unfortunately, the blood loss she had recently experienced had left her weak. She collapsed in Zach's arms, forcing him to take her somewhere that was safe.

Amanda told JR and David about Trevor's fishing cabin but said she had no idea where it was. Jamie tried looking up lakes on the computer in the hopes of triggering Amanda's memory, but none of the names sounded familiar. She realized that Tim might know where Trevor's cabin was located and called him. Unfortunately, Tim didn't know the location of the cabin either.

David suggested that he inject Amanda with a serum that would trigger her memories. Jamie was against the idea, but Amanda insisted on taking the drug because she felt responsible for Janet's actions. Tad arrived and was furious that Amanda had been given the drug. Jamie assured him that he had been monitoring Amanda, and she didn't seem to be having any adverse effects from it.

JR busied himself playing on the pinball machine, convinced that Amanda wasn't going to remember anything that would help them. He was wrong. The sounds from the machine triggered a memory of a similar sound being made when they had walked into the bait shop. She also remembered seeing a sign that gave Tad a clue to work with.

After looking up the sign on the computer, Tad had a fairly good idea of where Trevor's cabin was located. By that time, Aidan had joined the group. Amanda insisted on joining them as they all prepared to leave, but Jamie refused to let her go along. They explained that she would probably just complicate matters, so it would be best if she waited to hear from them.

Kendall had a vivid dream of Zach telling her goodbye in her bedroom. Suddenly, Zach turned into Ethan. When Kendall asked him where Zach was, Ethan told her that Zach was dead. Kendall refused to believe it. Ethan told her that all the Cambias men who hurt her ended up dead. He went on to remind her that Michael had hurt her and had ended up dead. Ethan had hurt her, too, and he had died. Finally, Zach had hurt her, so he, too, would end up dead. Kendall woke up and jumped out of bed.

After quickly dressing, Kendall rushed off to Zach's office and found it empty. She looked around, hoping to find a clue about where Zach was. As she searched the office, she noticed that Ethan's obituary was on Zach's desk along with a will. When she noticed the gun, she became concerned. She quickly surmised that Zach intended to kill himself. She doubled her efforts to find Zach when suddenly the door opened, and Zach walked into the office.

Outside the office, Dixie hid from Kendall and listened as Kendall confronted Zach about her concerns. Zach didn't deny that he intended to commit suicide. Instead, he gave her other possible reasons for having the will, gun, and Ethan's obituary out. Kendall didn't believe him and became angry. She told him that if he intended to kill himself, he would be leaving her pain and anger along with his estate.

When Kendall questioned why she was there and why she cared, Zach admitted that he would like to know the answer to those questions as well. Kendall didn't give them to him. She evaded answering by asking him when he planned to leave. Zach gave her another vague answer, which frustrated Kendall enough for her to storm out of the office. Dixie walked in a moment later and quietly closed the door. She called Zach a liar and promised him that if Kendall hadn't already convinced him not to end his life, she would.

Babe warned Janet that it would only be over her dead body that she would let Janet anywhere near Little Adam much less allow Janet to raise him. Janet wasn't impressed. She was more than happy to accommodate Babe if she insisted. As Janet rambled on about being Little Adam's new mommy, Babe became increasingly angry. She started to yell at Janet, calling her crazy and telling her that Amanda wanted nothing to do with her mother.

Things escalated until Janet approached the door. Fearing what Janet would do, Babe picked up the iron skillet and threatened to bash in Janet's head if she went anywhere near Little Adam. Convinced she had the upper hand, Babe began threatening Janet until she cowered in a corner, crying about how sick she was in the head. Babe demanded that Janet hand over the key to the bedroom that Little Adam was locked in.

Janet complied, and when Babe went to open the bedroom door, Janet sprung into action and knocked Babe out from behind. After she quickly ascertained that Babe was still breathing, Janet began making plans to leave with Little Adam and dragged Babe's unconscious body over to the freezer.

As his passengers sat quietly, JR reflected on his mistaken impressions of why Babe had disappeared with their son as he drove toward the cabin. He also mentally recalled the recent events that had made him fall in love with his ex-wife all over again.

A short time later, after Aidan had taken over driving, Tad did some reflecting of his own, remembering when he had once held Little A and told him that he would be safe because he had Dixie watching over him.

On the other side of the car, David thought back to when Babe had first found out she was his daughter -- and how she had effortlessly grown to love him. Regret haunted his face as he thought of the time they had lost so far.

JR finally broke the silence out of irritation, urging Aidan to drive faster. Both Tad and Jamie noted that slower was better, so they didn't miss anything. David sided with JR, just as anxious to reach their destination. Tad tried to reassure JR they would find Babe and Little A, but JR was far too jaded to automatically believe. They all tried to settle down again just as Tad was able to pick out the bait shop Amanda had recalled. As they inched closer on the only road they could take, Jamie noticed that David had a few vials with him.

Jamie asked if David took his drugs wherever he went, and David said that if they showed up and found Janet alone, he would rather administer the truth serum instead of wasting time, trying to convince her to tell them where she had stashed his daughter and grandson. Amazingly, JR agreed with him. Jamie started to ask what a second vial contained, but Tad's cell phone rang and interrupted. Di was on the other end, asking for updates about the situation. Tad gave her the scoop on where they were headed, and Di held out hope that everything would be okay.

In the study at the Chandler mansion, Krystal told Adam that JR didn't know what he was doing and might just get Babe and Little Adam killed. She suggested that they should get the police involved, but Adam believed they would only botch the rescue attempt. They agreed simultaneously that the only answer was to head up to the Dillon cabin as well.

At the casino, Dixie chastised Zach for even thinking that killing himself was a good idea. She expressed genuine regret that he had lost his only son, but then reminded him that he had a woman who loved him and a thriving business -- those things alone should tell him he had a life worth living. She told him he had no right to choose to die -- because it was a coward's way out and a very lonely choice.

Zach tried to counter by alluding to the fact that although Dixie was alive, none of her loved ones knew it -- and how that, too, was a cowardly thing to do. She told him of the many surgeries she had had over the previous year, and how with each one, she'd had to fight to stay alive. She acknowledged that she knew how it felt to be him, but because he was not alone, he was obligated to make the choice to fight. He then asked her a hard question: he wanted to know if she thought he had a right to be alive when his son wasn't.

When Zach's question was met with silence, he knew Dixie didn't have a better answer than the one he had already found. He told her about how he hadn't known Ethan existed while Ethan had been growing up and how, when he'd found out they were father and son, he had still denied him. He admitted that he felt like he was continuing to cheat his son with every breath he took. He then demanded to know how Dixie felt she had the right to insist that he embrace life when she had effectively killed Dixie Martin when she'd decided to stay away.

Dixie told Zach she had her reasons, and he started to scoff, but she went on to remind him that she had returned. In doing so, she was able to see the effect her death had had on the people who loved her. She admitted that she was still undecided about whether she would reveal herself or not because there was a chance it could make things worse. She made her point by saying that he shouldn't do what she had done -- because even though life was painful, the only true choice was to get through it and go on living.

Dixie admitted how scared she was that things wouldn't work out with rescuing her grandson and how awful it felt not to be able to be there for her son, especially if Little Adam was lost in the struggle. Zach quipped that JR might want to kill himself, but Dixie's sharp look quickly cut him down to size. She admitted that she knew that losing a child was a more painful thing than any parent should bear -- because she had lost her little girl in the accident overseas, and for a long time, she had lost JR as well.

Up in the cabin, Janet dragged Babe on a blanket until Little Adam interrupted by calling for his mommy. She immediately abandoned Babe and ran to the crib. She picked the little boy up and immediately smothered him with loving attention. She called him not only her little boy but also her whole world. She then decided that she needed to rename him and immediately thought "Trevor" would fit. Upon making that suggestion aloud, a memory of Trevor soundly rejecting her in favor of her sister flooded back to her.

Although it had been years, Janet's pained expression silently noted that the betrayal would never be forgotten. She opted for a different name, thinking that her new son needed to share a name with one of the greats. She settled on Rembrandt Green, Remy for short, and told him that once she cleaned up the cabin, which included getting rid of Babe, they could start their new life far away. She left him alone for just a few more minutes and moved out into the main area of the cabin.

Addressing a still-unconscious Babe, Janet expressed her disappointment that Babe hadn't followed through with her promises to be a new daughter that would never betray her. Then, after making a decision, she went over to the freezer and informed her very frozen husband that he would soon have company. She got Babe situated in the freezer and proceeded to have a very odd conversation with Trevor about how understanding she had been; after he had tried to have her sent away, she was allowing a trashy blonde to mount him. She cut herself off after hearing a twig snap outside.

The rescue crew approached slowly, and although JR and David wanted to burst in and ambush Janet, they were held back with the warning that Janet could have a weapon, and a sudden attack could push her over the edge. Before they could make any further moves, she called out to them, saying they needed to go away because there was no way she would ever let anyone take her child away.

Aidan loaded his gun, and after making some hand gestures as a way of communicating with Tad, he headed off to investigate other openings to the house. The confrontation began in earnest when Tad, as the spokesperson, called out and identified himself. Tad tried to convince Janet that he believed she had been misjudged, and all she needed to do was walk out of the house and tell her side of the story. In order to sound more genuine, he reminded her that she was the one who had saved Jamie from downing in the lake -- and he only wanted to return the favor.

As Tad and Janet exchanged words, Aidan used a handheld video feed to spy on her inside the house. She talked about how Tad couldn't be trusted because of how often he had lied to Dixie -- and how bad of a parent he was for forgetting his ex-wife and taking up with Di the Imposter, who joined the crew in time to hear the proclamation, along with Adam and Krystal.

Just then, Aidan checked in via walkie-talkie and told the group that he could see Janet holding the baby, and he appeared to be all right. JR urgently asked if Aidan could see Babe -- and Aidan said that he hadn't spotted her. Enraged, Tad was unable to contain JR's sudden outburst. JR demanded that Janet tell him what she had done with his ex-wife.

Startled, Janet replied that JR needn't worry about Babe. She rushed back into the side room to put her new son back in his crib. When she returned to the main room, Mirror Janet taunted her, telling her that she had ruined everything and that she would soon be headed back to the psych ward.

Janet tried to block out the echoing voices that called her a loser and rejoiced in the fact that she had botched things up again. When she couldn't take it anymore, she grabbed a frying pan and started to smash at the mirror until it fell into an infinite number of pieces on the floor. Unfortunately, the voices only got louder. Hysterical over the fact that she wasn't able to silence Mirror Janet, she started to destroy the place to mask the sound of the taunting.

Outside, all the concerned family members geared up again to burst into the cabin, not knowing how the baby was being affected by the chaos. Aidan was able to tell them that Janet had put Little Adam in his crib before capsizing the large objects in the main room. They still wanted to rush in, but Tad urged them to hold back and let her burn off some of the energy she had been harboring. Further, he didn't want to find all of them in a situation where Janet began to use Little Adam as a shield. That was the only thing that quieted them again, and it did so just in time for them to hear Janet fall silent inside.

At the P.I. office, Amanda paced nervously as she waited for news from the makeshift rescue team. Brooke walked in, looking for Tad, and tried to ascertain what was going on. Amanda tried to relay details to her at the same time that she called Derek at the station, but she left out a lot of pertinent information. Confused, Brooke was forced to eavesdrop on Amanda's conversation to fill in the gaps.

Amanda told Derek that she'd thought of new information and filled him in on the crew that had gone to track Janet down. She begged Derek to follow suit to ensure that Janet wouldn't be killed once located. After she got off the phone, she second-guessed herself, informing Brooke of the reason why she had been told to not get the police involved. She then started to vent about how even though she knew everyone hated Janet, Janet was still her mom -- and she might have just killed her.

Brooke was taken aback, unable to process how Amanda could possibly be to blame, but Amanda said that she'd made a promise to protect her mom -- and had failed at that. Brooke tried to assure her that everything would be all right, and Janet still loved her and would understand why Amanda had done what she had once she got her head on straight again.

Amanda couldn't believe Brooke, saying that her mother had stopped loving her when her own daughter had tried to turn her in. Distraught, Amanda couldn't stay still anymore and said that she needed to go to the cabin and fix what she had broken. Without hesitation, Brooke insisted that she would make the trip as well.

The cops arrived at the cabin, letting out one blare of the siren. The group expressed their anger, thinking that any headway they might have made had been lost with Derek's audible arrival. As they tried to form a cohesive whole that could work together toward their common goal, Adam pulled Krystal off to the side and tried to guarantee that Babe would be okay. Krystal reminded him that Aidan hadn't seen any sign of her daughter, and she started to fall apart at the thought that Babe could be hurt or dead. Adam pulled her into a comforting embrace and promised her that no matter what happened, he wouldn't leave her to deal with the outcome alone.

Derek called out to Janet and, after identifying himself, insisted that no one wanted to hurt her and that the best thing she could do would be to walk out of the cabin with her hands up so they could get her the help she needed. Janet reminded him that he was no longer a friend of hers and further informed him that she wasn't the one in need of help.

Derek asked what Janet wanted, and she told him simply that they all needed to go away so they didn't risk putting her or her son in harm's way. She then walked over to the freezer, told both Trevor and Babe that she'd had had fun with them, and dropped the door down to seal them in. Derek called out to her again but got no response. He told the group that he was giving her ten minutes to emerge from the house. If she failed to show, he would have his troops throw tear gas into the house.

JR freaked out when he heard what Derek planned to do and at seeing the troops ready their firearms. He blasted Derek for putting his son in harm's way, but Derek insisted they were only trying to protect his son and Babe. Not knowing if she would walk out of the house willingly and alone or with a gun to Babe or Little A's head, Derek insisted that they needed to proceed cautiously. He asked Tad to take JR away and keep him under control, but JR managed to do so all on his own.

Di approached JR and tried to comfort him, and out of habit, he automatically rejected her. He told her he was fine and that she couldn't help him. She reminded him that she was still family and that she loved both him and his son. Noting that she just wanted to help was what broke JR's resolve. He turned to face her and grabbed her in a fierce hug, his body racked with sobs.

Janet finally emerged from the house and quixotically noted that the crowd gathered was there to say goodbye to them. Derek told her that she knew they wouldn't let her leave and suggested that she put the boy down before anyone got hurt. She viewed that as a threat and told Derek that he didn't want to take that road with her, just as JR rejoined the group, openly frantic over his son. Janet told everyone that they needed to leave so she would be able to take her sweet angel where he belonged.

Just then, Amanda arrived and, having heard the last few words Janet had spoken, told Janet that she thought she was Janet's only sweet angel. She reminded her mother of all the good things she had done in the past, which Amanda carried with her. She told Janet that one disagreement would never make her stop loving her mom, and she begged Janet to not let the baby take her place.

Janet remembered her visit to see Amanda in the NICU years before in her mind's eye, and the last of her resolve broke down. As tears streamed down both Janet and Amanda's faces, Janet released her hold on Little Adam and embraced her daughter again. JR heaved a huge sigh of relief and took his son in his arms, vowing to never let anything happen to him again. Krystal walked up behind him, pleading with them to find out where Babe was.

JR handed the baby over to Krystal and promised he would find out where Babe was. Simultaneously, Derek started to extract Janet from Amanda's arms. Janet was confused that Derek put her in handcuffs, as she had done nothing wrong, but Amanda kept her calm by saying she wouldn't leave Janet under any circumstances.

Tad and the rest of the original team marched through the cabin, calling out Babe's name, trying to determine her location. After Aidan announced that the bedroom was empty, JR stopped in front of the freezer, hoping against hope that his hunch was wrong. He opened the lid and found Babe lying there, unconscious. Alerting everyone, they quickly took her out and checked to make sure she was still alive. Once David found a pulse, they got blankets and called for medical assistance.

Tad went over to the freezer to close it again and spotted an arm -- as well as a trademark ugly tie. Jamie joined his father and took in the same view. Tad, making the connection between the tie and Trevor, called Derek over so he could see the shocking truth with his own eyes.

Moments later, Brooke asked Amanda to step off to the side with her so Derek could finish with the formalities of arresting Janet. She obliged, and Derek informed Janet that she would not only be charged with kidnapping and the attempted murder of Babe, she would also be charged with Trevor's murder.

The medical team took Babe out on a gurney, and Krystal's relief that Babe had been found quickly turned into alarm at finding out that she was unconscious. JR instructed her to take Little Adam to the hospital with Babe so the boy could get checked out. Tad said he would follow when he was done.

After Krystal headed off to the ambulance, JR told Janet she would die for what she had done. Derek tried to control JR, but Janet was not intimidated. She retorted that JR was an evil man and that Dixie had to have been very ashamed. Speaking of his mother only sealed Janet's proposed fate as far as JR was concerned.

At that same moment, back in Pine Valley, Zach received a call from his contact at the police station. When he wrapped up the call, he told Dixie that her grandson had been rescued -- and that he was alive and well. He also told her that Babe was on her way to the hospital and that he would give her updates as he got them. Overwhelmed with relief, Dixie collapsed into his arms, all the pent-up fear released through her tears.

Meanwhile, Janet rambled on about wishing that Dixie were with them at that moment because she would understand that what Janet had done hadn't been so bad. While everyone stared at her, thinking she had lost it for good, Tad had to hold a tearful JR back. Tad finally told Janet that Dixie had died over four years before, and Janet, with a look of amazement, contradicted his statement. She told him that she had seen Dixie recently -- in Pine Valley.

Janet continued to tell everyone that Dixie had been at the Mardi Gras ball. By the looks on everyone's faces, Janet guessed she had spilled the surprise about Dixie's return. JR threatened to make Janet pay for what she had done, but Janet claimed Dixie would be ashamed of JR. Dixie was probably so ashamed of her son that she had not revealed herself, Janet added. JR told Janet that he loved his mother, but Adam and Jamie told Janet to be quiet.

Amanda jumped in and told Janet to stop hurting everyone. When Brooke offered to take Amanda home, Janet thought Brooke was trying to tear them apart. Amanda told her mother that what she was saying about Dixie did not make sense. Janet told Derek he could take her to prison, but Little Adam was the one who needed to be taken from the crazy Chandlers. JR broke free of Tad's grip and grabbed Janet by the shoulders, threatening to take her out himself. Jamie and Tad removed JR, while JR and Janet kept throwing insults back and forth until Derek took her away.

When Amanda asked Aidan if he had found her dad, Aidan was silent. Adam and JR rushed off to see how Babe was doing. David asked Di what she thought about Janet's story, and Di claimed Janet was lying. Tad told Amanda that her father had died, but she figured out that Janet was the one who had killed him.

Amanda demanded to know where her father was, but no one answered her. She realized Trevor was inside, so everyone allowed her to go inside and find her father in the freezer. Amanda broke down in tears, and Jamie and Brooke quickly led her outside. Aidan told Tad that no one deserved the pain Janet had inflicted on everyone, including ruining Dixie's memory.

Josh went into Erica's room with a cameraman at his side. She told him to turn off the camera while Josh explained that the man was making a documentary on him as part of an internship. Erica told Josh to do something good with medicine instead of exposing people. He ignored her comments and told his sidekick they should find someone else to film who was worth it. When she walked out to her room, she found Greg touching Kendall's stomach to check on the baby.

Erica asked Ryan and Kendall to check on her release papers, allowing Erica to ask Greg to speak to her privately. Erica told Greg she would like to repair their mended relationship for Josh's sake. Erica claimed she did not want to punish Josh for drugging her, but she would like to work with Greg to get Josh out of town. Greg claimed Josh would never leave the hospital because he felt the need to be bigger and better than everyone else.

Little Adam got a clean bill of health, but Krystal would not allow JR to hold his son. Kendall went inside Erica's room to announce that her paperwork had been cleared. Erica told Kendall she was still not thrilled about Greg being Kendall's doctor then apologized, blaming Josh's newfound medical position for her negative feelings.

Joe was not thrilled about Josh's videotape stunt, but Josh insisted it would promote positive publicity for the hospital. Moments later, Babe was rushed to the hospital, where Josh and the rest of the workers took her into another room. Josh tried to boss Julia around, but she told him to stop acting like a donkey and get focused on their patient. Julia went outside and told everyone that Babe's heartbeat was stronger, and her pulse was rising.

JR went inside to see Babe, who was rousing from her sleep. When JR touched her, Babe thought it was Janet, and she started screaming until she saw JR. While Julia went to get Krystal, JR told Babe their son was safe, and Janet had been arrested.

Krystal and Adam went into the room with Little Adam so Babe could be assured that her son was safe. Babe told Krystal to thank everyone who had helped save them, while David peeked inside. JR told Babe how much he loved her and wanted to be a family with Little Adam. He proposed to her in front of Adam and Krystal.

Ryan found Julia outside Babe's room, where he sang her praises for saving Babe's life. Julia asked Ryan how Kendall and the baby were doing. He told her the baby was fine, but a decision had not been made about who would raise the child. Julia explained that she was not exploring any other options until Ryan let her know if she could adopt his child.

Kendall walked out and overheard Julia laughing about Erica being involved in the baby process. Kendall went to talk to Julia, pretending to know about what she and Ryan were talking about. Julia told Kendall she was glad that Kendall would consider Julia adopting the baby, which stunned Kendall.

Zach and Dixie returned to the casino, where Dixie nearly collapsed. Zach caught her. One of Zach's medical workers tended to Dixie's wounds. When she woke up, Dixie asked Zach about the kidnapping. Zach told her that Babe and Little Adam had been taken to the hospital, and both were fine.

Janet was taken to her cell. Derek told her he had contacted legal aid to get her a lawyer. Janet claimed she did not need a lawyer because she had Trevor. Derek asked Janet why she had killed Trevor, but Janet seemed shocked that her husband was dead. David went to visit Janet, reached through the cell to grab her neck, and started asking about Dixie.
