One Life to Live is preparing to add new characters to the canvas that will be involved in the storyline revolving around Fish and Kyle storyline. A former Broadway star has been named to help push these two characters together and a former AMC star will bring back another role.

One Life to Live is adding two new roles to its rosters this summer. Both roles are scheduled for only short runs.

Michael Lowry has been cast in a recurring role of Ross Rayburn, a role previously played by Shawn Christian in 2002.

Lowry is known to daytime viewers for his three-year run as Jake Martin on All My Children. Lowry appeared on the ABC soap from 1997 to 2000. He also appeared as Les on CBS'a As the World Turns. His most recent daytime role was a short-term gig as Dr. Hillman on The Bold and the Beautiful.

An ABC spokesperson says Lowry will play a "character from the past," leaving many fans wondering exactly who this new character will interact with. Lowry will first air on August 28.

Broadway actor Nicholas Rodriguez will take on the short-term role of Nick beginning later this summer.

Rodriguez starred as the lead character in Disney's production of Tarzan. He's also appeared in the off-Broadway productions of The Toxic Avenger, Oklahoma!, and Angels.

Rodriguez, who is openly gay, will be featured in the Kyle and Fish story. The actor first airs on August 14.
