Florence refused to continue to help Reese unless he told her the truth about the baby. Reese revealed that he'd helped two mothers deliver babies that night in Catalina, and he'd switched a stillborn baby with Hope's live baby to save his own daughter from the wrath of his debt collectors. Steffy fell in love with the baby at first sight, and Taylor put a down payment on the adoption. Reese offered the payment to his debt collector, but the goon said it wasn't enough. Steffy presented her new baby to Liam, who immediately noticed that the baby resembled Kelly. He couldn't help but feel that the baby belonged with Steffy and Kelly -- and maybe even him.

Kate refused to entertain Ted's offer to reconcile. Haley treated Tripp for a burn. Claire and Tripp made out. The DiMera board named Stefan and Chad as co-CEOs. Rex was suspicious of Eric and Sarah. Melinda announced her candidacy as mayor. Haley confessed to J.J. that she was an illegal immigrant.

Oscar and Josslyn decided to explore the catacombs, but their adventure ended when Oscar had a seizure and the teens became trapped in an old mine. Drew, Carly, Jason, and Sam rescued the teens. Disaster struck when the floor gave out and Jason fell deep into the catacombs. Jason made his way out, but he was overwhelmed by the cold water in the harbor. Sam saved Jason by reaching him before he drowned. Jason and Sam returned to the penthouse and made love. Lulu was horrified when "Kevin" revealed that he was Ryan then attacked her. Lulu was stabbed, but she escaped and reached help before collapsing. Lulu was rushed into surgery, but she remained unconscious. Ryan suffered a headache that left him temporarily blind, but he managed to flee the crime scene without arousing suspicion. Peter was surprised when Jordan asked if he had an alibi for the time that Lulu had been attacked. Robert Scorpio paid Anna a visit to share some important information. Sonny and Carly agreed that it was time for Mike to move into a long-term care facility. Shiloh put his best foot forward when he met Alexis. Franco and Elizabeth were shocked when Jake shared that the kids taunted Aiden by calling him "Gayden."

Billy visited Lily in prison and told her about Cane and Victoria making out. Lily focused on surviving in prison and refused to see Cane when he tried to visit her. Cane punched Billy and vowed to make him regret telling Lily about Cane's cheating. Victoria struggled with whether to give her relationship with Billy another shot. Phyllis proposed that she and Sharon form an alliance to protect themselves from the Newmans throwing them under the bus, but Sharon declined. Phyllis confessed that she'd never thrown the fireplace poker in the lake and that she'd held onto it for insurance, but it had disappeared. Nikki told Nick about Phyllis' involvement in J.T.'s death. Nick confronted Phyllis with his suspicions about her framing Victor, and she lashed out by exposing that Sharon had been there, too. Mia tried to drive a wedge between Arturo and Abby. Arturo refused to give in to Mia's taunts, and Mia responded by insisting that she and Rey renew their wedding vows. Mia talked Rey into asking Arturo to be his best man. Mia made a point of inviting Sharon to the vow renewal. Right after Rey and Mia renewed their vows, Arturo proposed to Abby, and she accepted. Arturo ignored Mia's insistence that Abby wasn't the woman for him. Jack became suspicious when he caught Kerry in a lie. Ana admitted to Devon that she'd written Fen's song and that she'd taken the cash up front to dig herself out of credit card debt.
