Thomas pushed himself to have sex with Zoe and invited her to Eric's Christmas party. Others began buying that Thomas was over Hope, but Brooke and Liam remained suspicious. Ridge offered to rip up his and Brooke's divorce papers, but Brooke couldn't do it as long as Thomas wasn't getting mental help. Liam confronted Thomas, who claimed that Liam, by his actions, was handing Hope over to Thomas. Thomas called himself the top dog in Forrester country and dared Liam to look into the eyes of Thomas, Liam's executioner.

Kristen vowed to win back Brady after she saw him kiss Nicole. Brady and Nicole decided not to sleep together and to instead remain friends. Stefano placed a brooch in Marlena's purse, and she turned it over to the police. Gabi suspected that Chad or Abigail had thrown a potted plant through the Gabi Chic window, but it was Lani that was caught on camera. Gabi warned Lani not to say anything to Eli. Hattie struggled to keep "Steve's" secret. Marlena warned "Hope" to stop hitting on John. Gina altered evidence from the loft to protect Stefano, but Rafe discovered Hope's fingerprints on the tiara. Gina and Stefano went to the New Year's Eve party as "Hope" and "Steve." Kristen told Brady that she wanted him back, but he rejected Kristen after she attacked Nicole. "Steve" convinced John and Marlena to let him stay with them in the penthouse. Steve told Kayla that he was in love with another woman. Xander failed to convince Victor that Ciara was still with Ben. Rafe confided in Roman about Hope's strange behavior. "Hope" fired Rafe.

Nina confirmed Liesl's claim that Valentin had used a lock of Madeline's hair to manipulate the DNA test between Sasha and Nina. Valentin enlisted Martin's help to lure Ava to Wyndemere's parapet. Valentin demanded that Ava hand over the codicil, but Ava relished the idea of Valentin's downfall. Furious, Valentin shoved Ava over the parapet. Guests were shocked when Nikolas -- carrying an unconscious Ava -- crashed Valentin and Nina's wedding. Sam had a visit from her parole officer, Delores. Delores made it clear that Sam was not to have any contact with Jason during Sam's parole period. Diane offered Jason and Sam some advice on how to proceed with Delores. Willow was surprised when she and Sam ran into Harmony at Turning Woods, where Harmony had applied for a job. Willow, Sam, and Harmony received an invitation to Shiloh's memorial service. Carly decided to tell Sonny the truth about Nikolas and that Jax had been helping Nikolas. Sonny felt betrayed that Carly hadn't trusted him enough to be honest from the start. Brook Lynn was hurt when Ned refused to buy out her contract, but Ned explained that money wouldn't solve her problems.

Summer suspected that Phyllis was after Nick, but Phyllis appeared to be interested in Chance. Adam dared Chelsea to admit her feelings for him. Chelsea pushed Adam away when he tried to kiss her. On Christmas, Chloe gifted Kevin with the news she was pregnant. Nikki found an abandoned baby in the Newman stables. The baby's mother returned for her child, and Nikki, Nate, and Elena helped them to find shelter and medical care. Phyllis and Jack renewed their friendship. Kyle and Theo continued to butt heads. Theo vowed to get rid of anything that was standing in his way. Chance decided to open a P.I. firm in Genoa City. Abby threw a New Year's Eve party to unite both of her families. Billy tried to open up to Victoria but felt like she was trying to fix him. Billy fibbed about needing to work on New Year's Eve, so he could spend time with Amanda, but he joined Victoria just before midnight. Nick realized that Chelsea would never love him the way she loved Adam, and he ended their relationship. Chelsea turned to Adam, and they agreed to take things slowly. Mariah was excited when music superstar Tanner Watts contacted Tessa to request a meeting. Tanner asked Tessa to go on tour with him as his opening act. Tessa informed Mariah that Tanner was her ex-husband. Sharon found a lump in her breast and secretly made a doctor's appointment.
