Passions' Jesse Metcalfe cut from Dancing with the Stars

Just one week after daytime alum Anne Heche (ex-Vicky Hudson/Marley Love, Another World) found herself out of the running on Dancing with the Stars, the judges decided to cut former Passions star Jesse Metcalfe (ex-Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald) from the competition, as well.

Soap opera fans were thrilled that this season's cast of Dancing with the Stars included three daytime alums, but three has now become one. Hot on the heels of Anne Heche's (ex-Vicky Hudson/Marley Love, Another World) elimination last week comes the cut of Jesse Metcalfe (ex-Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald) from the competition. Now it's just Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children) representing soap operas on the primetime reality show.

On Monday's live episode of the ABC dance series -- which had the celebrities performing dances to hits from the 1980s -- Metcalfe and his professional partner, Sharna Burgess, danced the tango to a tune from Tears for Fears. Before the performance, Metcalfe opened up about not having been popular when he was younger, which causes him to worry too much about what other people think. He wanted to change that with his performance, sharing, "Outsiders have a tendency to hide. Like, I'm not necessarily exposing myself out there on the dance floor. But I feel like I need to show America who I really am. Hopefully I can bring my vulnerability and more of my heart to this performance."

Unfortunately, Judge Bruno Tonioli told Metcalfe that his performance "started very well" but throughout the dance, he lost his timing. "It's getting the balance of the two: the performance and the technique. Both of them have to be at the same level," Tonioli opined. "So, I get what you were trying to do, performance-wise you are getting there, but then you lost your steps, you lost your timing, and it went a bit wrong."

In the end, Metcalfe and Burgess only earned 19 out of 30 for their performance, and Metcalfe's DWTS journey came to an end.

Meanwhile, Chrishell Stause and her pro partner, Gleb Savchenko, pulled out all the stops as they danced a cha-cha to New Kids on the Block's "You Got It (The Right Stuff)." Stause admitted that she's a big fan of NKOTB, enthusing, "I have been a Blockhead since they hit the scene when I was five years old. Truly obsessed. The little girl in me is geeking out. She has no chill."

Stause and Savchenko received the same total score as Metcalf and Burgess for their performance -- 19 out of 30 -- but the pair was not eliminated from the series. Derek Hough enthused, "You guys looked amazing tonight," while Bruno Tonioli said, "Only you two can turn a cha-cha into Dirty Dancing!"
