The attack on Babe continued. The Satin Slayer injected Babe and she fell to the ground. The killer then stood over Babe and threw gardenia petals onto her face. Meanwhile, Zoe and the cop heard Babe's muffled screams. They rushed back to Babe's car and saw the killer tying a white ribbon around Babe's hand. They tried to run after the killer, but the Satin Slayer got away again. Zoe then comforted Babe as the ambulance arrived. And, before they took Babe away, Babe told Zoe to save her son.

Josh was at the police station. Jack asked Josh why he caused so much trouble for Erica. Josh said he could ask Jack the same thing. Then, Derek got a call about Babe's attack and multiple officers said out loud that the killer got Babe Chandler. Josh heard this and became frantic and rushed to the hospital.

Ryan, Tad, and Zach were still at the warehouse waiting for the killer. Ryan and Tad wondered if this supposed meeting was just a diversion tactic. Still, Zach wanted to wait to be sure the killer would not show up. Then, Tad got a call from Jack stating that Babe was attacked. So, they all left.

Derek, Jack, Ryan, Aidan, and Tad went to the scene of the crime. They saw that Babe's bodyguard was killed with a poison dart. They were alarmed to see that the Satin Slayer was now a cop killer.

JR and Adam were talking at the mansion. JR eluded that he had a secret to tell Adam. Adam assumed JR wanted to discuss his failed marriage. So, Adam asserted that he would help JR get custody of Little Adam. Nevertheless, Adam said he would have to explain everything to Krystal because of their new honesty clause. JR stated there was no honesty in their house. So, Adam asked what Dixie told JR before she died. Then, just as JR began to speak, Krystal came in distraught. Krystal said Zoe called with news that Babe was attacked by the Satin Slayer. However, JR thought this was a trick and refused to go to the hospital with them. Then, Tad came in and asked why JR was not at the hospital. JR was shocked and realized Babe was really hurt. So, they both rushed to the hospital.

Jamie and Amanda were still visiting Janet. Janet explained that a woman could be very dangerous if she was scorned or protecting her child. Janet believed Ethan's mother might blame Zach for her son's death, which resulted in the serial killings. Amanda and Jamie agreed to look into it. Janet then wished she could apologize to everyone for all of her wrongdoings. Then, Jamie got a call from Julia at the hospital. Julia explained what happened to Babe. Jamie and Amanda looked very worried and went to leave. Then, Amanda promised Janet she would visit again. Janet said she would pray for Babe.

Bianca went to see Kendall at the casino. Bianca was annoyed that Kendall told Erica about her friendship with Zoe. Bianca felt Kendall only did this to deflect attention from her. However, Kendall truly believed Bianca and Zoe had a weird relationship and wondered if Bianca had feelings for Zoe. Bianca became even more annoyed because Maggie thought this also. Kendall said this was affirmation that something was going on between Bianca and Zoe. Bianca then claimed that Kendall was channeling their mother with her concern. Kendall resented this statement. Then, Zach came in and looked upset. Zach announced that the killer never met with Ryan because it was a diversion. So, Kendall and Bianca assumed Babe was attacked. They all left for the hospital.

Erica was very perturbed to see Barbara. Barbara claimed she was there to spend time with Sean, but Erica did not believe this. Erica said Barbara was always jealous that the Montgomery brothers chose her. And, Erica stated she was ready to take Barbara on again. Then, Sean came in and gave Erica a big hug and kiss. Sean seemed unhappy to see Barbara as well. Then, Barbara sarcastically asked Erica if she wanted a drink. Erica responded that Barbara needed a brainlift. Then, Lilly came in and announced that the Satin Slayer took another victim. Erica and Sean worried it was Kendall or Bianca and rushed off. Then, Barbara inquired about Jack with Lilly. Barbara asked if he was okay with the divorce. Lilly stated he was working more than ever and smiled less. Barbara suggested they team up to find creative ways to help Jack relax.

Babe was in the hospital and Jeff and Joe tried to help her. Babe's life flashed before her eyes. Babe recalled many happy moments with Krystal, JR, and Little Adam. Meanwhile, everyone showed up to give Babe their support. Zoe told Josh that he deserved Babe, not JR. Zoe further explained about the blackmail. Josh believed Babe would rather die than give up her son. Then, when Josh saw JR they lunged at each other, but everyone pulled them apart. Then, Josh yelled at Zach for not leaving Pine Valley. Josh blamed Zach for Babe's situation and urged Kendall to leave town. However, Kendall refused and defended Zach. Then, Kendall saw Ryan. Ryan claimed Kendall stole his son and wanted him back. Kendall assured Ryan that Spike was safe. Meanwhile, Zoe met Amanda. They consoled each other and could not imagine their lives without Babe. Then, Tad, Jamie, and Aidan decided to look into Ethan's past thanks to Janet's tips. Then, Jeff announced that Babe needed surgery and would be given a pacemaker. As, Babe was wheeled to surgery, Krystal told Babe how much she loved her. Josh asked to observe the surgery and went into the operating room. Then, Josh began to scream no and Jeff threw him out of the room. Josh yelled that JR finally got what he wanted because Babe was dead! Krystal went pale. JR said Josh was scum for saying that. But, Josh screamed that JR never deserved Babe. Still, JR did not believe Babe was dead. Everyone looked stunned!

At the hospital, Jeff tried to explain to Krystal that they did everything they could do to save Babe but it was too late. Krystal pleaded with everyone to fix the mistake that had been made, but when Adam grabbed her arm she realized that Babe was dead. Krystal fell to the floor in agony, grief and disbelief. Tad tried to calm her by saying he understood her anger and how everyone would be there to help her.

Jamie asked J.R. if he wanted to see Babe but J.R. turned to leave. Back at the mansion Jamie wanted to know what had happened between him and Babe. J.R. told Jamie that Babe wanted a divorce as badly as he did, but she wanted to be civil about things. He told Jamie the hurtful things he said to Babe and then he threw a vase and broke it. J.R. then swore that he never wanted her dead. Krystal and Adam came in and she embraced J.R. Krystal told J.R. that Babe always loved him and to hang on to that. J.R. asked Jamie if this could be real and Jamie told him that it was really happening.

Erica told Josh that she and Bianca and Kendall wanted him to go home with them. Josh attacked them all for their treatment of Babe. Josh blamed Zach for all the death and after announcing publicly that he was done with the whole damned town he stormed out. Erica followed Josh and told him that although he thought he had lost everything, he hadn't. Josh said that he didn't belong with the Kanes or in Pine Valley and that without Babe he was nothing but alone. Erica asked him to give them a chance but Josh kissed his mother, picked up his bags and walked out the door.

Kendall tried to leave the hospital to find Zach, but Ryan stopped her and told her that the danger was now very real. Ryan took Kendall to see Spike and she realized it was too dangerous for the baby to be with her. She showed Ryan the note from the serial killer and said to take Spike and protect him. Ryan and Spike left a tearful Kendall behind.

In a separate hospital room, Krystal rested. She told Adam that she needed to see Babe. Krystal went to see Babe and told her she would never stop loving her. She told Babe that she was her greatest joy and held her tightly.

Back at Wildwind, Amanda told Del and Di that Babe was dead. Amanda broke down and Jonathan comforted her. They all surrounded Amanda and told her they wouldn't leave her alone.

The musical montage at the end showed the grief and pain that has gripped Pine Valley for so long with no end in sight.

Kendall woke up and thought she heard Spike crying. Zach assured her everything was fine with her son. Zach then revealed he had a special day planned. Kendall wanted a hint, but Zach would not give in. Then, Zach took her to see the surprise and covered Kendall's eyes. When Kendall opened her eyes, she was in a bowling alley. Kendall was less than thrilled. Kendall did not think stinky, used shoes were romantic. So, Zach handed her a brand new pair of shoes. Then, they began to bowl. Zach tried to distract Kendall with bowling jokes and it worked. Kendall accused Zach of making her lose, but Zach said this was not true. Zach then handed her the score sheet, which read, "Always only you." Kendall smiled and they kissed. Kendall then asked if she was getting a prize. Zach said bowling with the prettiest man in Pine Valley and bowling shoes were her prize. Kendall did not believe him, so Zach held out his fists and made Kendall choose one. Kendall chose an empty hand. However, Kendall said the hand was not empty because it held Zach's heart, which was her home. Kendall also said the hand held the hope and strength Zach gave her. Then, Kendall said the other hand held her heart. So, Zach opened his other fist, which held a diamond necklace. Kendall loved it. Then, Kendall got an envelope delivered to her. It contained a Valentine's Day card from Spike. Kendall called Ryan a jerk for being so nice. Then, Zach and Kendall danced to music under the lights of a disco ball that Zach supplied.

JR was asleep and recalled images of Babe. JR called out for Babe and Krystal woke him up. Krystal consoled JR and said she knew Babe and JR loved each other, despite their differences. Krystal was happy Babe was loved when she died and asked to call JR her son. JR looked guilty and admitted that he had nothing to do with Babe feeling loved. Then, Adam, Colby, and Little Adam came in. They wished Krystal a happy Valentine's Day. Then, JR and Colby took Little Adam to get changed. Adam then gave Krystal a charm bracelet that had Arabella and Charlotte inscribed in it. Krystal loved it, but admitted she missed Babe very much. Then, Colby came back with Little Adam. Colby was making Valentine's cards to distract Little Adam until they decided to tell him about Babe. Krystal thanked Colby and went to read Little Adam's card. However, Little Adam would not let Krystal open it because it was for his mother. Later on, JR was in the living room alone and imagined kissing Babe. Then, Stuart came in. JR admitted that he treated Babe badly by asking her for a divorce and custody of Little Adam. Stuart consoled JR and they hugged.

Bianca was at a park with Miranda. As Miranda played, Bianca read a card from Maggie. Bianca looked sad and then Zoe walked up to her. Bianca smiled and thought there was something different about Zoe. Zoe said she no longer had a cop following her. Zoe was glad to be cleared, but not at Babe's expense. Then, Miranda came back and wondered why Zoe returned her Christmas present. Zoe said she loved the doll, but it belonged with Miranda. Then, Zoe explained that it was more important that Miranda knew exactly what Zoe wanted. Miranda looked happy and continued to play. Zoe then announced that she was meeting with a specialist to discuss sexual reassignment possibilities. Zoe stated that Babe gave her the courage to do this. Bianca asserted that Zoe should do this for herself and not Babe. Zoe assured Bianca she was following her own destiny. And, Zoe decided to find a doctor near Pine Valley, so she could stay close to where Zoe first emerged. Then, Bianca, Miranda, and Zoe all ran around and played together.

Ryan and Annie were at the penthouse making cupcakes with Emma. Annie announced that she was visiting Wildwind to see if they would like to live there. Emma wanted Ryan to move there also, but Annie explained this was not possible. Meanwhile, everyone was sad at Wildwind because of the many recent deaths. Jonathan consoled Amanda. And, Jonathan explained that he was taking care of Amanda because he wanted to and not because he felt obligated. Meanwhile, Julia decorated the living room with balloons and hearts for Cathy. And, when Cathy saw the room, she hugged Julia and said she loved her. Then, Ryan, Annie, Spike, Emma, Aidan, Di, Del, Amanda, Jonathan, and Tad came in. Ryan offered to give Annie a tour of the grounds and she accepted. So, they went outside and walked around. They ended up in the stables and could not control themselves. They began to kiss and rip their clothes off. Ryan and Annie then made love in the hay. Meanwhile, Emma and Cathy put on Valentine's Day costumes and made cards. Cathy announced that she was making a card for her parents and wanted to send it to heaven. Tad agreed that this was a great idea and suggested everyone send cards to those they have lost in heaven. So, everyone made Valentine's Day cards for their deceased loved ones. Then, they tied the cards to balloons and went outside. Next, they released the balloons. Everyone said I love you as they watched the balloons and the cards float up.

Jack comes home after a long night and is surprised to find Barbara there. She takes a spin at flirting with him and then plants a kiss on his lips. No one is more surprised than Erica, who walks through the door moments later and witnesses the smooch. Erica slams the door to break them up, and the two women immediately start baiting each other. Jack tells them both that he is too tired to deal with their war, and asks Erica to tell him what she needs. She tells him that she needs his help with Josh and informs him that her son, so upset over Babe's death, is gone - and she can't reach him. Barbara returns to the room having made a fresh pot of coffee, but Jack pushes her aside and asks a few questions about the last time that Erica spoke with her son. Erica gives him a good summary and in the end, Jack points out that as an adult, Josh can do anything he wants to do, and there is very little anyone can do about it. Erica is taken aback at his refusal to help, and Jack suggests that perhaps Jeff would have better ideas for her. Slightly offended, she tells him that she will take his advice and leaves one final caustic remark for her arch-nemesis before vacating the house. Barbara, relieved to be alone with Jack again, finds her happiness short lived when Jack points out that the autopsy reports he has to review because of the murder investigation he is involved in are more important than any nonsense she could drum up. She tries to convince him that she really just wants to see and spend time with her son, but Sean shows up in the doorway and tells her that the best idea would for her to leave. Barbara attempts to pull off a martyr act, offering to stay at the Pine Cone or at Myrtle's...just as long as she can spend some time with her son. Jack tells her that she can stay in the house, but to keep out of everyone's way, if possible. He goes to shower and change for the funerals, and Barbara greets her son with a good morning hug. Sean isn't falling for her act, announcing that she only came to town because she got dumped. Barbara denies it, but Sean tells her that he sees clearly that she only came to town to try to hook up with Jack. He goes on to say that it won't happen because Jack and Erica aren't divorced yet.

As Jack prepares to head out to the funeral, he gets a cryptic call on his cell from Josh. After a moment, he tells the grief-stricken lad to stay in touch.

Ryan helps Annie carry the last of her bags down to the living room in preparation for her move. Having done one final spin through the place and noting that moving out is the best thing for Emma, the duo briefly considers a platonic goodbye before wrapping each other in a passionate embrace. They kiss for a few moments and then break it off, although neither of them really wants to. Annie asks him what they are supposed to do now, after the fantastic time they had at the stable. Ryan tells her that what happened wasn't a casual thing for him, as he cares a lot about her. Annie admits she feels the same way. Ryan briefly revisits the possibility of the two of them making it work under one roof and then recants, knowing that they need to put Emma first. They start to give each other one more kiss goodbye when a man appears in the open doorway with an envelope marked urgent for Ryan. Ryan opens it and when Annie asks about the contents, he tells her it's from the killer. He shows her a letter that says "You let me down" and tells a panicked Annie that his attempt to make the killer believe he was on his side failed, and going to the police will help nothing. He also tells her that the worst part is that Kendall is next on the killer's hit list. She asks why the killer contacted him, and Ryan posits that it might not be his connection to Zach but rather to someone else. She notes that if they can figure out what ties everything together, perhaps they can gain some insight on who the killer is. Ryan then tells her that the killer might be a she and informs her that Tad is having Ethan's mom checked out. He fills her in on how he became involved with Cambias Industries and after a couple of questions, Annie surmises that perhaps the killer knows that Ryan helped Ethan out, and therefore is trying to reach out to him. Ryan admits that he isn't sure, but that whoever the killer is, they will strike again. Annie notes aloud that she is sure Ryan will protect Kendall the same way he protected her.

A little while later, Ryan goes to Fusion and talks to the killer through the bug. He tells him that they need to meet face to face so that they can talk about how Ryan let him down. Ryan goes on to say that he did the right thing in honoring the will by giving control of Cambias to Ethan and Miranda - and asks for the opportunity to save Kendall.

After gazing at her new necklace for a few moments in the mirror, Kendall turns and thanks Zach for making her world perfect for a few hours the day before. He tells her it will be again, and as she gazes at the Valentine that Ryan sent over, he assures her that one day soon, Spike will be living with them again. Then, there is a knock at the door and, when Zach opens it, they see Tad on the other side. Entering the room uninvited, Tad tells them they have a new suspect with more than enough reason to hate Zach. After they hear who the suspect is, Zach notes that Hannah Nichols, Ethan's mother, was a very sweet person and completely incapable of the atrocities that had been inflicted on Pine Valley. Tad admits that although he doesn't want to challenge Zach's stellar judge of character, he felt that it was important to keep in mind that many years have passed since Zach knew Hannah and it's quite possible that in that time she had gotten angry - and dangerous. Both Zach and his wife think the theory is ludicrous but Tad lays out his theory and tells them that it doesn't need to be rational because they are talking about a person poisoning innocent people. Zach asks if Tad is just going to keep pulling random names out of his past to investigate and Tad tells him that right now, Hannah is their only viable lead. He them tells the Slaters that until they can find another suspect, they need to go with what they have. Zach admits that the only information he has is what Ethan told him - that his father gave her money and sent her away. Tad tells him that Alex Sr. could have told her anything and now that her child is dead, she could be looking for payback. He then admits that she might not be the killer, but also says that if Zach decided to help out, they could find out the truth either way a lot faster. Zach asks what he needs and Tad asks for a description. Zach tells her that she was a small woman with dark hair, and then stops as he sees a vision of her pulling a silk ribbon out of her hair. Kendall, seeing his pause, asks what he remembered. He tells them about the ribbon, and a few other incidental details. Tad attempts to probe for more, but Zach has nothing else to give. Instead, he tells the investigator that he will send over the file of everything he and his men were able to dig up about her. Tad thanks him and takes off. Once alone again, Kendall asks her husband if he ever told Hannah about what happened to his mother. He tells her that he didn't, but says that it's possible that Alex Sr. turned Hannah against him. Kendall thinks that would be unusually cruel, but Zach tells her that his father had no problem being that kind of man. He then thinks back to talking with Jenkins at the jail and tells Kendall that something snapped in him then, and he has no idea why. Kendall asks what he remembers and Zach says that he can see Alex kneeling before him, saying that he knew that Zach killed his mom. Kendall doesn't think it makes sense, and asks what else Zach just remembered. Before he can answer her, an alarm goes off, letting them know that someone unauthorized got by security. He pushes her toward the back of the room, pulls out a gun and points it toward the door.

As they descend to the foyer in the family mansion, Krystal alternates between giving Adam directives on specifics for the funeral, and apologizing for being too monopolizing, as the service will be for Dixie as well. Adam tells her that he will take care of everything, and begs her to rest until it's time to leave. He goes off to phone the florist and Krystal finds a contemplative JR in the living room. She goes to give him a comforting hug but he cuts it short, telling her that she isn't aware of all he'd done. Blindly, Krystal tells him that what she knows is that he loved Babe, and although they had hard times, they got through them because the love was there. Before JR can refute her claims, Colby enters the living room. His eyes flashing, he demands that his sister explain to him why, when Babe's body isn't even cold, she thought it would be okay to wear something from the dead woman's wardrobe. Krystal tries to calm JR down, but he is already yelling at Colby to take off Babe's dress. Colby, too stunned to do anything but cry, stands motionless until Adam comes in the room and tries to ascertain what happened. Once JR fills him in, he takes his distraught daughter out to the patio. When they are alone again, Krystal tells JR that she knows how it feels to want to destroy everything that is reminiscent of Babe, but he replies that there is more to the story than she knows. She tells him that Adam informed her of all of the things he was doing to collect evidence just in case he needed it, tells him that she understood and that Babe did too. She notes that Babe knew how deeply she cut him and that he wouldn't heal overnight. She goes on to say that the most important part was in the end, he trusted her and in that - he gave her the dream that she always wanted. JR stops her and tells the real truth: that he was divorcing Babe. Krystal doesn't want to believe it but JR makes it very clear that what she was about to hear was the truth. She asks him if he told Babe about the divorce before she died, and JR confirms as much. He goes on to tell her that he also demanded full custody of their son so that he could get Babe away from him forever. Krystal points out that Babe would never let him get away with that, but JR replies that she would if they stakes were high enough. He then admits that he knows the truth about the paternity of the baby she is carrying and although Dixie wanted him to do the right thing and give Tad his daughter, he planned to use to get Babe to do exactly as he asked. Horrified as she takes it all in, Krystal needlessly confirms that the last few days of Babe's life were actually a living hell. She asks JR how he could make Babe choose between her mother and her son and he tells her it wasn't that hard. He then cuttingly asks if she still wants to call him son. Enraged, Krystal tosses aside JR's arrogant need to have his son all to himself and berates him for needing to cause as much pain as possible instead of just making the divorce clean. She tells him that she can't believe that he was ready to betray both Tad and his father - the two men who stood beside him despite all of the rotten things he did. JR tells her that he did it because he couldn't trust Babe but Krystal slams it home that Babe couldn't trust him either - but at least she tried. With a note of finality, she tells him that she never dreamed there would be anything good about Babe losing her life but now, knowing the truth, she is glad that Babe died before having to make the decision that JR put in front of her.

On the patio, Adam asks Colby for her side of the story. She tells him that Babe gave her the dress and that she thought it a good idea to wear it as a tribute. She admits that she thinks because she never knows the right thing to do, her brother now hates her. Adam tells her that all she can do is love him, and eventually JR will come around. Morosely, Colby admits that she should have never told her brother Krystal's secret. Interest piqued, Adam asks his youngest daughter to fill him in. Colby tells him that she didn't really hear anything; rather, she made something up and blew it out of proportion to make JR mad at Babe. Now, she says, with Babe gone, there is no way to make up for it. Adam tries to tell her that everything is all right, but she points out that she isn't crying for Dixie or Babe - she is crying for herself and how stupid and selfish she had become. She notes that it's not hard to understand why everyone hates her. With that admission, Adam tells his daughter that he loves her. Colby notes that when Charlotte is born, she will be easily loved - which is nothing like her big sister. Adam tells her that Charlotte will make it easier for the whole family to love each other. He tells her that she is completely irreplaceable, and when she asks him how she can make up for all of the wrong that she'd done, he says that they will get through the pain together.

Erica catches up with Jeff and fills him in on what happened with Josh. She tells him that since he was always sympathetic to the way Josh felt about Babe, it's possible that he could make their son come home. Jeff agrees to track him down and do what he can. Erica asks if she is overreacting, and Jeff tells her that she has every right to feel the way she does. She thanks him for being the only one that understands and, with a hug, tells him that she doesn't know what she would do without him. The hug is brief and is followed by a kiss that Jeff lays fully and passionately on Erica's lips. She breaks away, but only to tell him that she doesn't want him to stop. As hope flickers in his eyes, she tells him that she is amazed that he understands her, doesn't shut her down and loves her for who she is. She then says that she has tried to take care of her family on her own, but she doesn't want to be alone anymore. They resume kissing and start to tear off clothes before Jeff sweeps her off of her feet and carries her over to his bed.

Tad shows up at the Chandler Mansion but before he and Adam can exchange any words, they hear Krystal yelling at JR in the living room. The two men join them and ask what is going on. Krystal demands that JR be thrown out of the house but they want to know what the fight was about. With a gleam in her eye, Krystal dares JR to tell Adam and Tad exactly what he had planned to do.

Bianca finds Erica, dressed in only her robe, at the hotel room as she makes her way to Babe and Dixie's funeral. When Babe walks in the room, she sees a pair of men's pants lying on the floor and immediately realizes Erica slept with Jeff. Erica is astounded that Bianca is going to Babe's funeral, considering their past. Bianca says that does not matter anymore because now Babe is dead. Bianca does not agree with how Erica is treating Jackson and asks that she does not come near them at the funeral. As Erica gets ready for the funeral, Bianca announces that Kendall is also going. Erica says it is too dangerous for Kendall to go because the killer is still after her. As Bianca leaves, she tells Erica that she never wants to be like her.

Krystal dares JR to tell Adam and Tad how he made Babe's last living days hell and why she wants to keep sole custody of Little Adam. Adam guesses that JR told Krystal he was going to divorce Babe and take their son. When Tad asks if that is true, JR nods his head. Krystal screams that she will not rest until JR is out of their house and Little Adam's life. She tells Adam and Tad about Babe's other will, which gives sole custody of Little Adam to her. JR tells Krystal he will always regret what he did to Babe and he deserves how Krystal is treating him. He tells Krystal that she has already suffered enough by losing Babe and does not need anything else taken from her. Adam leads Krystal out of the room to calm her down, as Tad offers his sympathies to JR. Tad says that he understands JR's anger because he did not get to say good-bye to Babe. JR breaks down, saying everyone should hate him. JR tells Tad he will meet him at the cemetery, but has a few things to take care of first. Krystal tells Adam that JR took Babe's happiness from her, something she will never forgive him for. Adam asks Krystal to forgive JR and not use Little Adam as a weapon against him. After Adam goes outside to get the car, JR promises not to tell Tad she is carrying his baby. Colby comes downstairs, apologizing for wear Babe's dress. JR says he should not have gotten upset at her and they leave to go to the funeral.

At Wildwind, Jonathan tells Annie that he knows Ryan is Emma's biological father. He thinks it is incredible news and gives her a hug. Emma admits that she is falling in love with Ryan, but is worried he does not feel the same about her. After Annie explains that she and Ryan are just friends, Emma comes rushing into the room. Jonathan happily tells Emma she can now refer to him as "Uncle Jonathan."

Downstairs, Katie comes bouncing into the living room looking for someone to play with, so Julie tells her that Emma is upstairs. The clan decided to head to the funeral, but is interrupted by a visit from Janet. Worried that her mother broke out of the mental institution, Amanda makes some calls, until an officer comes into the room. Janet tells Amanda that the officer is with her to assist her on her first day back into the real world. Since Dixie and Babe were her friends, Janet wanted to come to their funerals. Del demands that Janet leave, but Jonathan walks into the room and welcomes her back. Jonathan tells Janet that he knows she wants to tell the whole world she is better, but Pine Valley and Amanda need time to adjust. Janet apologizes for coming and leaves with her officer. Everyone else follows behind, dreading going to the funeral.

Zach rushes out of the hotel room holding a gun and finds security guards piled on top of Raymond. Raymond says he is leaving Pine Valley now that his name has been cleared, but wanted to give him a handkerchief his mother had made. Zach brings Raymond inside to tell him that he did kill his mother. Raymond tells Zach he loved his mother and her death was an accident. After Raymond leaves, Kendall tells Zach the killer won't get to her. Still rattled by Raymond's visit, Zach answers the door with a gun pointed at Erica. Erica tells Kendall she should not go to the funeral. Zach even agrees with Erica, saying that Babe and Dixie knew how Kendall felt about them. After Zach leaves, Kendall agrees to stay at home. Erica begs Kendall to help her find Josh, but Kendall refuses. Erica tells Kendall that Bianca found her with Jeff that morning, but Kendall says she doesn't care who Erica is sleeping with. Erica thinks it is only a matter of time before Kendall realizes she is right about all of her children's lives.

Ryan and Jackson are the first ones at the cemetery. Ryan updates Jackson on the killer's communication with him, but so far, he has not gotten a response from the killer. Jackson tells Ryan to contact him if the killer contacts him again. Also, he says that Greenlee contacted him, expressing concern about the women of Fusion. Jackson said he convinced Greenlee to stay out of town while the killer is still loose. Ryan and Tad sit down, as people start pouring into the cemetery. Moments later, two funeral workers bring bouquets of gardenias from an anonymous source, but everyone knows it is a message from the killer. The rest of the Pine Valley wonders into the funeral, hugging one another and sobbing in each other's arms. Adam is the first to speak at the funeral, noting that Dixie and Babe were both women who put their children first. Bianca says she has forgiven Babe, but is sorry she did not get to tell her before she died. Tad recalls his earlier days with Dixie - from the first time they went on a date to their first marriage. Di says Dixie was loved by so many because she was a kind and giving person. Overwhelmed by grief, Krystal throws herself on top of Babe's coffin. Zoe breaks the silence by singing "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban. Everyone comes by the caskets to pay their last respects, but Babe's coffin is empty. While lying in a hospital bed, Babe opens her eyes.
