Brief Character History

Daniel Romalotti was setup by a fake FBI man to forge a painting and became a suspect in his subsequent murder. Jana Fisher discovered Deacon Sharpe had possession of both Daniel's forgery and the original painting. Ryder, who worked for Deacon, confessed to Jana's husband Kevin that he killed the guy, whose real name was Ray Elkins. He said his dead father, who knew Elkins in prison, locked him in a cellar when he was a kid and Elkins treated him the same way too, so he killed him. Kevin didn't believe the coincidence when Ryder claimed his dad was Tom Callahan (an alias Kevin's father Terrible Tom used) but had a DNA test done which confirmed that he was. Ryder told Kevin he grew up in Green Bay, and played ball to stay out of trouble.

Deacon visited Ryder in jail, confirming that Deacon had made him confess to the murder. Daniel got Ryder to confess the plan, making a deal to use the key to Tom's safe deposit box in Detroit to retrieve the original of the Terroni painting Daniel forged for Deacon. Because the bank refused Daniel admittance to the box, he returned with Amber posing as Tom's bereaved widow Gloria. But just after they got into the box and retrieved the painting, Gloria showed up. They convinced her to play along, and got the painting back to Genoa City, where they bickered about what to do with it since Deacon had promised Gloria five million to get it for him, Jana felt it should be returned to the museum, and Daniel needed it to give to Deacon for his freedom. Kevin hid the Terroni painting at Crimson Lights, but Gloria found and took it to Deacon. Daniel tricked her, got it back, and returned it to the museum. He received a $25,000 reward, but gave it to Kevin to bail out Ryder. Remembering when no one would give him a second chance, Kevin insisted Ryder come live with him and Jana while he got a new start working at the coffee shop.

Daniel was arrested and jailed again, but his mother Phyllis Newman led a search of the landfill where all their friends showed up to help, and found the satchel that was tossed by the killer as he ran away. DNA evidence on the ski mask inside proved that the killer was a female, and Daniel was released. Unknown to everyone else, Deacon, Ryder and his twin sister Daisy discussed their plot against Daniel which was masterminded by an unknown woman, their next target being Lauren who started getting visits by dead and live rats.

College girl, Daisy, convinced Lauren to hire her at her boutique and that she was a sweet, hard-working girl who had no family. When Eden began seeing through Daisy's con job, Daisy set the Carlton house on fire while Eden and her boyfriend Noah were upstairs making love. Noah's uncle Adam arrived in time to save them and Noah's dog Fisher. Eden confronted Daisy with a Fenmore's card found at the scene, certain that Daisy set the fire. Not long afterward, Eden was contacted by an Aunt in Paris, asking her to live with her for awhile and attend a prestigious school there. While she hated to leave Noah, she persuaded Michael and Lauren to let her go. Once Eden got to Paris she told Noah she was confused that her Aunt thanked her for contacting her and requesting to come. Noah soon got permission to join her there.

Daisy got Lauren to feel sorry for her and allow her to live in Eden's room. While packing up Eden's things, Michael found a receipt for the purchase of a rat from a pet store. The clerk remembered selling it to a young dark-haired girl with an attitude. Michael phoned and confronted Eden, who swore she was being setup and suspected Daisy. Lauren began having terrible headaches and being short-tempered with everyone, refusing to believe that Daisy was not the sweet helpful girl she appeared to be. Jana was suspicious of Ryder, suspecting he and Daisy were more than new acquaintances. After convincing Kevin, Ryder was fired from Crimson Lights and asked to move out of their apartment. Ryder began living on the streets by day, and sleeping at the boutique at night, then later at the homeless shelter.

One day Ryder watched some young trick-or-treaters and gazed at a ripped photo of himself as a young boy. Ryder recalled arguing with another boy about costumes. As Ryder remembered the boy taunting and calling him "chicken boy," he wiped a tear from his eye, saying, "I didn't mean for it to happen." Jana found a photo of Daisy with a kid named Max Potter, and discovered on the Internet that he had disappeared from camp one Halloween night. During a date at the Athletic Club, while Kevin was trapped in the elevator, Jana found a card on her plate inviting her to a movie theater to finish their date. On her theater seat was a scrapbook with photos of Daisy and Ryder as babies. Realizing they were twins and who their mother was, Jana screamed, then was abducted. Kevin began frantically searching for Jana, finally enlisting the help of Michael and Detective J.T., convinced that Ryder and Daisy were behind her disappearance. Meanwhile Jana was being held in a cage in the zoo next to an abandoned amusement park near Twin Lakes, attended by a reluctant Ryder, and Daisy plotted to get rid of Jana by leaving a trail to convince everyone that she had left Kevin and disappeared.

Lauren's headaches got worse, and she was taking medication, but Daisy was lacing her water with a drug. One day Daisy slipped her some ecstasy which made Lauren euphoric and amorous. When Michael was too busy, Lauren was photographed by Daisy making out with Paul. She slipped the photo in Michael's briefcase – all to stir up trouble at the direction of her mother whom they called "Mama Bear". Michael, Paul, and Lauren realized that Daisy was behind the photos, had put a toxin in the paste for Lauren's new office wallpaper to cause the headaches, and was probably behind the disappearance of Jana. With Chance's help they arranged for a text message to be placed from Daisy's cell phone to get Ryder to go to the Baldwin apartment, and when he arrived, both Daisy and Ryder were arrested. Sarah Smythe, posted their bail saying she was their mother, and all three showed up in costume at the annual charity ball where they kidnapped Lauren.

Paul later discovered that in 1993, Sarah Smythe was a night nurse in a hospital in Green Bay who was cleared of charges when elderly patients died in her direct care. Ryder had second thoughts and sent Kevin a text message with a clue to find Jana, but Kevin did not find her at the amusement park. Lauren ended up in a cage near where Jana had been placed in a crate after she tried to escape and they were able to talk. Daisy confronted Lauren, admitting to being involved in everything from framing Daniel for murder, sending Eden to Paris, to planting the rats and the toxin in her office wallpaper. Daisy claimed that she and Ryder were twins but raised by someone else because the ongoing feud between Lauren and their mother Sheila Carter stole her away from them, and inferred that Sheila was still alive and there with them. Lauren demanded Sheila show herself, and "Mama Bear" appeared – with Lauren's face! Lauren and Jana ended up together in the cage where "Mama Bear" told them she was Sheila's sister Sarah, and that she intended to avenge Sheila's death. Sarah then took Lauren's wedding ring, left wearing Lauren's clothes, and stepped into Lauren's life. Michael's joy at "Lauren's" return was dashed when she told him she had awakened that morning in a strange man's bed, and began acting very abnormally. Michael got her an appointment with psychiatrist Dr. Emily Peterson. When Sarah passing for "Lauren" met "Emily" she recognized her immediately as Patty Williams. Sarah had been Patty's nurse at the surgical center in Argentina where they both had their plastic surgeries. Sarah made a deal with Emily who was tired of Jack continually going to Phyllis for solace, that Sarah would kill Phyllis if Patty would kill Michael. (Sarah turned out to be Sheila Carter's sister who had plastic surgery to impersonate Lauren and Daisy and Ryder turned out to be Sheila's twin children.) Sheila visited Phyllis with Daisy waiting outside ready to strangle Phyllis. But when Lauren heard that Daniel was on his way there, she called Daisy and told her to stop him. Sarah attempted to kill Phyllis herself but Phyllis got away and barricaded herself in another room. Meanwhile Daisy kept Daniel at his apartment by drugging him, and was having sex with him when Amber and Little Eric walked in on them.

Back at Crimson Lights, Kevin decided to get help to find Jana from her Ouija board with Kay and Murphy. It kept pointing to letters that spelled out zoo, so Murphy helicoptered the three of them to find Jana with a heat locator. Once on the ground they searched separately, and Kevin found Jana suffering worse headaches than when she had a brain tumor. After Michael found Phyllis barricaded in her room, they drove to the zoo and arrived to find the real Lauren and Sarah having a gun standoff in the fun house mirrors. Meanwhile Daisy held Kevin and Jana at gunpoint, but Ryder stepped between them and convinced Daisy to give him the gun and run away with him. Kevin picked up the gun where Ryder had dropped it, but Ryder convinced him to let them go. Michael was able to tell them apart, and tried to convince Lauren to drop the gun, that the police would take care of Sarah. But Lauren was well aware that police never could contain Sheila either, so started shooting. A ricocheting bullet hit Phyllis in the cast on her broken leg, and she and Michael were caught between the two Laurens, each with a gun. Phyllis gave the password "karma" which she had been given by Jana, and Lauren confirmed herself as the real Lauren with the response "is a bitch", then Lauren shot and killed Sarah. Daisy and Ryder left together by car, and Daisy promised she would be back someday as her mother Sheila would want.

Murphy rushed Jana to the hospital in the helicopter where she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. At her bedside, Kevin told Jana they were two misfit toys stuck with each other for eternity, that he had never given up on her, and never would. Her surgery went well, but to Kevin's dismay, Jana woke from surgery with no emotions, possibly due to brain damage. Jana went back to work at Crimson Lights but was so unlike herself, she even cut her hair into a bob.

Lauren was still having nightmares of Sarah. She and Michael entered Crimson Lights and were shocked to find Ryder there ready to turn himself in to the police. Ryder apologized to Kevin, Jana, and Lauren for his actions saying that he spent his whole life taking orders from Sarah and Daisy, and even if he spent the rest of it in prison, he would finally be free of them. Kevin called the police and Chance took him to jail.

Nearly six months after she had disappeared from Genoa City, Daisy was seen wearing a nun's habit again skulking around in Jimmie's bar the night of Billy Abbott's annual Halloween party, and watching Lauren. Lauren screamed as she spotted Daisy in the strobe lights. Michael, Billy and Rafe searched, but did not find her. They chalked it up to the eerie Halloween special affects until Phyllis found Daisy in the background of one of her party photos. Later, Daniel and Abby returned to his loft to find Daisy sitting inside in the dark. When they turned on the lights, a very pregnant Daisy came forward and announced that she was carrying Daniel's child. When Daniel protested that it could not be and attempted to call the police, Daisy threatened to hurt the baby. But Abby managed to text for help, and the police showed up and arrested Daisy.

Lauren resumed her panic attacks and became reclusive. Even though Daisy was in jail, Lauren feared that Ryder had returned as well and neither she nor Fen were safe. Once Phyllis learned that she may become a grandmother, she insisted on a DNA test. But Daisy refused unless she could be transferred to a hospital. Phyllis convinced Lauren to agree. Daisy had the test, and was handcuffed to her bed while she awaited the results. The test revealed that Daniel was the father, and that the baby was a girl. Daniel refused to have anything to do with Daisy or her child. After Daisy had a breach of the placenta and needed bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy, Phyllis got Daisy released into her custody with an ankle monitor to be sure of the baby's welfare until it was born and could be adopted. But when Daniel saw that Daisy was keeping Phyllis and Summer apart, he petitioned the court to take Daisy to live with him, so Summer could live with Phyllis. Kevin went to work for Mark Hogan's crime organization to raise the money to adopt Daisy's child so it would not have to live a life like he and Daisy had. Motivated by one night of desperation sex initiated by Kevin, Jana made a deal with Daisy for Jana to raise the baby in hopes that it would bring Kevin back to her for good. In exchange, Jana changed her statement about her abduction to say that Sara had forced Daisy to do the things she did.

After Daniel threatened to legally dissolve Daisy's parental rights, a U.S. Marshall delivered her news that she would be going back to jail after the birth. Kevin told Daisy that he was aware that she was manipulating the unstable Jana, so he wanted nothing to do with her or her baby. Later, alone with Jana, Daisy went into labor, and convinced Jana to help her run away. Jana hit herself in the head and claimed that Daisy had stolen her car and fled. Daniel tracked down Daisy and helped her deliver her baby in the car. Afterward Daisy knocked him out and left him on the road in the snow. Daisy abandoned her new daughter at a church, where the baby was found by a man who was down on his luck. He sold her for $5,000.00 to Primrose DeVille, niece of infamous baby broker Rose Deville. Billy Abbott bought the baby girl from Primrose for two million dollars, because his wife Victoria had been told she would unlikely ever have another child. Retro-TV-lovers, Billy and Victoria, named the red-haired baby "Lucy" after Lucille Ball. Daniel was found, later woke from his coma, and slowly remembered everything. When Victoria handed him their new baby daughter to hold, he finally remembered helping Daisy give birth. The more Daniel looked at baby Lucy, the more he was convinced that she was Daisy's baby. Torn as to whether or not to tell anyone, Daniel grabbed a misplaced pacifier to find out for sure. A DNA test confirmed that Lucy was his child.

Seven months after he disappeared, Ryder grabbed Jana at Billy and Victoria's house where she was nanny to their baby Lucy. Ryder told Jana that Daisy had told him she'd had her baby and had left it at a church named St. Joseph's. Ryder said he needed to know that her baby was safe, and demanded that Jana help him find the baby or the police would find out that Jana had let Daisy escape. Then Ryder left. Days later, Jana got curious and searched for the church on the Internet. She found it, went there, and talked to the priest, but he knew nothing about any baby. Overhearing them was Agnes, the woman who had taken the baby from the church. Agnes told Jana the baby was sold to a horrible woman, and gave her Primrose's cell number. Jana, convinced that finding Daisy's baby would help her get Kevin back, called herself Stella, faked being pregnant and met with Primrose about adoption. Prim told her that she would receive $5000 for the baby upon delivery, but she required that Jana see their doctor. Jana got Primrose to agree to accept an ultra-sound and medical report instead, which she got from the Internet. Primrose got suspicious, called Billy, and accused him of sending the visitor she'd just had. Meanwhile, Michael traveled to Canada with Daniel and found Daisy, but while Michael left her hotel room to bring back a mountie, Daniel let her escape so that no one would discover the identity of their baby. But later it was discovered, and Phyllis insisted that Daniel keep Lucy.

Daniel finally decided to allow Billy and Victoria to adopt Lucy, he relinquished his parental rights, and the adoption was made legal. Phyllis was livid, and wrote a Restless Style blog about Lucy and condemning Daisy, hoping to smoke her out. By doing so Phyllis had disobeyed the court's gag order, and she was fired by Billy. Daisy returned, and Phyllis hired Leslie Michaelson to arrange for Daisy to turn herself in and petition the court to get back her parental rights. Leslie pointed out that Daisy was only accused of the crimes, and that both Victoria and Billy had recently been arrested as well, that Victoria had lost custody of Reed, and Billy's ex-wife was suing for custody of Delia. So Daisy was given back her parental rights, although Phyllis was given temporary custody of Lucy.

Months later, Daisy turned up in the same prison wing as Sharon Newman, and met Avery Bailey Clark, who took her case once she realized who Daisy was and her connection to her sister Phyllis. Phyllis was livid when she was served with papers that Daisy wanted visitation with Lucy, and that her own sister would turn on her, but Ronan gave Phyllis a tip. Daisy demanded that she get to see Lucy once a week, that Phyllis give her some money, and that Avery get her out of prison, or Daisy would sue and Lucy would be given to someone else. After several run-ins with their mutual enemy Phyllis, it wasn't long before Avery admitted that Phyllis was her sister, and that she was committed to helping Daisy get out of prison and to get her daughter, Lucy, away from Phyllis. Avery ordered a psych evaluation, and Daisy admitted to having recurring headaches and dizzy spells from blows she had received while in jail. Daisy called Daniel from prison to let him know that Avery was his aunt and that she was helping Daisy to get back their daughter.

Lauren visited Daisy in prison and warned her that they were going to fight her release, and not to mess with her again. Daisy's hearing for a reduced sentence began, with a key piece of evidence, a video which Ryder had made of Daisy pleading with Sarah Smythe for mercy for Lauren and Jana when they had held them captive. Michael cross-examined Daisy, asking why Daisy never called for help or let them go when Sarah wasn't there. Daisy said she was afraid that Sarah would kill her. In his closing statement Michael begged the judge not to fall for Daisy's supposed rehabilitation. But Daisy was given time-served and put on parole with psychological counseling.

Unable to contact Phyllis, Michael called Daniel who went to Phyllis' penthouse and discovered Daisy already there with Lucy. Daniel tried to reason with Daisy that she was only using Lucy, but Daisy claimed that she wanted to be a good person and good mother, and needed Lucy to love her. Meanwhile Avery saw the light and refused to represent Daisy anymore, but Daisy went to a judge to return her parental rights, brought a police officer along to seize Lucy from Phyllis, and later got a restraining order against Phyllis. Living on her inheritance from her aunt Sarah, Daisy and Lucy moved into Heather's former apartment in Lauren's building. Vowing that Daisy would never torment her again, Lauren bought a gun, began using Daisy's photo for target practice at the gun range, and made plans for Fen to stay with her son Scotty in Toronto. Daniel was finally convinced to claim his parental rights to Lucy to keep her from growing up with Daisy. But Daisy was encouraged, and assumed that she and Daniel would end up together and become a family, so she gave her consent. After the hearing Daniel told Daisy that she was delusional, that she had just helped him to be able to sue for custody.

Daisy convinced Ricky Williams that she innocently wanted to be a mother to her child and that Phyllis and Daniel were out to get her, so she and Ricky became involved, and Ricky vowed to keep Phyllis, with whom he had is own grudge, from winning. The day before Lucy's custody hearing, Ricky snatched Lucy while in her father, Daniel's, care. After a frantic search by Daniel, Ricky returned her, claiming to have found her in the parking lot. Ricky knew that once this incident came out in court, Daisy would be allowed to keep Lucy. After Daniel lost the custody case, Daniel left town. Phyllis fired Ricky, knowing that he had been behind it, which only made Ricky more intent on finding something in Phyllis' past to expose and make a name for himself. Later Daisy boldly entered Fenmore's intending to spend a gift certificate on clothes for Lucy and taunted Lauren. Lauren freaked out and pulled her gun on Daisy, and was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

A couple of weeks later, Daniel returned and inexplicably asked Daisy to marry him, and had sex with her. Everyone tried to talk Daniel out of it, but they were married by the same justice of the peace who married Kevin and Angelina, with Kevin as their witness. On their wedding night, Daniel got Daisy drunk on champagne, and left her passed out. Phyllis showed up, woke Daisy and the baby, and they went looking for Daniel, walking in on him and Eden necking in a booth at Jimmie's Bar. Daisy broke it to Eden that they were married, and Daisy and Phyllis dragged Daniel home. Phyllis tried to convince Daisy that she was doing just what she had done to Daniel's father, forcing him into a relationship which he would end up hating her for. Daniel told Phyllis that he was staying married to Daisy because it was best for his daughter.

Knowing it would help Michael and Lauren to move back into their own place, and with nowhere for him to paint living at Daisy's apartment, Daniel suggested that Daisy and Lucy move into his garret with him. Ricky blackmailed Daisy into giving him her apartment and paying his rent, and later to swipe a Phyllis' key to get into her apartment, or he would tell the courts how he took Lucy to get custody from Daniel. Later, Daniel took Lucy to meet her grandfather, Danny, at his nearby concert. Daniel asked Danny the poignant question of how Danny had managed to live with Phyllis when he had not loved her, just so that he could be with Daniel. Danny told Daniel to keep his focus on Lucy, and he would survive it, that he was proud of him, and how lucky Lucy was to have him. Concerned about Daniel, Danny showed up in Genoa City, and spoke with Phyllis. Phyllis admitted to Danny and Nick that she hated Daisy because she reflected the worst of herself at the same age. Later after meeting Daisy, Danny told Daniel that he was right about her, and to be careful. Danny then left for L.A. to go back on tour.

From the rental car receipt evidence that Ricky had gotten from Tim Reid, Daisy discovered that Phyllis had been the driver of the rental car who had run down Paul and Cricket back in 1990, and she confronted Phyllis with the fact. Daniel overheard, and was aghast at what his mother had done. Phyllis had to confess to Daniel, but claimed it had been an accident, that she had only tried to scare Christine after she had seen her kissing Danny, bur her foot had hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Daisy used it to blackmail them into treating her as they should treat Daniel's wife.

On Phyllis and Nick's wedding day, while family and friends awaited her arrival at Gloworm, Daisy visited Phyllis and offered to tell her about Ricky's plot to take her down. Phyllis rebuffed the offer, called Daisy names, and threw her out. Then Phyllis began to lose her baby, doubling up in pain, and calling for help. Daisy heard her from the hallway, considered her options, then walked away. When Phyllis did not show up for the wedding or answer her phones, Nick went home and found her in her wedding gown on the floor where she had lost their baby, and he took her to the hospital. The next day, Nick and Phyllis were married by Katherine at the penthouse with only their children, Summer, Daniel, Faith, and Noah in attendance. The following day Phyllis and Daniel discovered from the security guard that Daisy had heard Phyllis calling for help and walked away. Daisy denied it when confronted. Nick, Daniel, and Phyllis all began plotting to somehow get rid of Daisy. Meanwhile Daisy went to Ricky offering to help him get revenge on Phyllis. Daisy blackmailed Ricky with the knowledge that he was observing Heather with cameras into helping her flee Genoa City with Lucy. Eden overheard him agree.

Later left alone in Ricky's room, Daisy discovered a video on his laptop which showed Ricky drowning his former girlfriend Rachel in the bathtub. Shocked, Daisy slammed the laptop shut and left, making excuses as Ricky returned. Ricky opened the laptop and realized what Daisy had seen, and he deleted the file. Outside, Daisy called D.A. Michael Baldwin, asking to meet him in an alley to disclose some important information.

Ricky met Daisy in the alley instead. Michael later found only Daisy's scarf in the alley. The next day in his room, Ricky removed Daisy's wallet and cell phone from her purse, remarking that he was relieved to see nothing in the paper about "poor little Daisy". Questioned by Paul about his involvement with Daisy and her disappearance, Ricky shared that he and Daisy had a lot in common – both of them had mentally disturbed mothers, no support from their fathers, and were treated like sludge from the moment they walked into town.

Ricky began using Daisy's credit card to charge pizza and bus tickets in Canada posing as Daniel, making it appear that Daisy was on the run. That plus Daniel's blood being found on Daisy's scarf, and an email to Kevin from Daisy telling him that she feared Daniel and asking Kevin to raise Lucy if anything happened to her, caused Daniel to be arrested for suspicion of murder.

Eden, suspicious of Ricky, searched Ricky's room and found Daisy's wallet, credit card, and phone. Ricky discovered her there, saying, "Now you know my secret, and now I have to kill you." Ricky threw Eden against the bathtub, and she was knocked unconscious. Kevin told Paul that Eden was missing, and that Eden was sure that Ricky was involved in Daisy's disappearance. Meanwhile Ricky held a knife to Eden's throat, asking Eden's limp body if she was ready to die, and telling her that no one would ever find her body or Daisy's.

Paul arrived at Ricky's. Paul and Ricky argued, and Paul refused to leave until they came to an understanding. Ricky told Paul how lonely he had been as a child with no one to be a parent to him, that his grandparents were too old to have a child, and never understood him. Ricky told Paul how he had visited Isabella in the mental institution, but when she got too violent and had to be doped up, he no longer had been allowed to. He reminded Paul that as his father, he had only sent cash on birthdays. Trying to get rid of Paul, Ricky agreed to try to get to know Paul the next day. Paul grabbed Ricky's room card on his way out, and noticed a backpack on the floor. Ricky returned to the bathroom to kill Eden.

Paul realized that the backpack was Eden's and ran back up to the room. Opening the bathroom door, Paul found Ricky on the floor with a knife at Eden's throat. When Ricky refused to drop the knife, Paul pulled a gun on him. Paul pleaded with Ricky, to drop the gun and not kill Eden. Ricky admitted, "Rachel thought she could leave me. I killed her, and got away with it too." Ricky also told Paul that Craig Hunt should have kept his mouth shut, or he wouldn't have had to kill him. Admitting the he had gotten rid of Daisy, Ricky said that Daisy had it coming, and felt he had done the town a favor. Ricky exclaimed, "Are you proud of your boy? This is all your fault, the reason I turned out this way, a product of your neglect. Are you going to take out your own kid?" Paul begged Ricky to drop the gun. Ricky begged Paul to shoot. Ricky stood up to stab Eden, Paul shot him, and Ricky flew backward and out of the window to his death. Paul stood at the window sobbing as he looked down below. When Daisy's wallet and cell phone were found to have been dumped by Ricky, Daniel was excluded as a person of interest in her disappearance, and she was assumed to have been murdered by Ricky.

A few months later, when Sharon was checked into Fairview Sanitarium for 72-hour observation, she ran into Daisy, who recognized Sharon and begged her to verify who she was. Sharon denied knowing Daisy, then later told Daisy that everyone thought she was dead, that Daniel had been arrested for her murder, and that Paul had killed Ricky. Daisy told Sharon that she had checked herself into Fairview under an assumed name to escape Ricky. Daisy failed to convince the doctor of who she was and what had happened. Sharon then verified that she was Daisy, who told him to send her fingerprints to the GCPD. Desperate to leave and thinking she could escape more easily from the hospital, Daisy took a handful of her medication which she had been hiding and lapsed into a coma. After the GCPD confirmed Daisy's identity, Daniel and Kevin were informed. Daniel went to see her, but she was uncommunicative. Paul remained hopeful that Daisy could confirm his story about Ricky, and Phyllis was concerned that Daisy could be the one to put her away for attempted murder.

Paul visited his sister Patty at Fairview to attempt to get her to help him get to Daisy. But although Patty knew him, she appeared to be in her own fantasy world when he tried to explain about what had happened to Ricky. Then when her doctor came by to check on them, Patty went into a panic looking for imaginary kitties, allowing Paul to get away to see Daisy while everyone else tried to get Patty under control. Daisy woke up and told Paul how Ricky met her outside the gala instead of Michael and tried to kill her, how he chased her until she fell down a hill, where she played dead at the bottom until he left, and that she had wandered into Fairview. Daisy told Paul that Ricky wanted her dead because she had seen the video of Ricky killing Rachel. But when Paul returned with Michael and a warrant, they were told that Daisy had been checked out by "her mother". Security tapes showed the woman who signed as Sheila Carter to be heavily disguised and unrecognizable, and the doctor was unable to identify her as either Phyllis or Sheila.
