Katie agreed to meet with Bill because she'd become worried about him. A tearful Bill once again begged Katie for another chance. Sheila slipped away as Steffy had a panic attack upon recognizing the nine-toed Sheila in her disguise. Sheila convinced Deacon to erase the surveillance footage of the encounter, and Deacon left town, claiming to be off to Italy to raise money to buy Il Giardino. Ridge returned to town with a choice in mind, but Brooke and Taylor decided that his time for choosing had expired years earlier. The women blasted Ridge for the pain he'd caused them and chose their self-respect and a friendship with each other. Together, they walked out on Ridge and vowed never to fight over him again.

Ava intervened when she learned Tripp was at Susan's funeral. The bomb exploded in the church.

Heather and Ryan teamed up when Ryan revealed that Esme had vanished. Trina confessed that she had been touched by Rory's declaration of love, but Trina did not feel the same about him. Josslyn advised Trina to be honest with Rory. Rory took the initiative to follow up on a lead that Dante had on the hook-wielding killer, with disastrous results. The killer managed to escape, but not without fatally injuring Rory. Spencer punched Dex. Sonny gave Dex a gun in preparation for an important meeting. Finn was heartbroken when Elizabeth claimed to be pregnant with Nikolas' baby. Nikolas gave Ava signed divorce papers, and he told Ava that he'd had an affair with Elizabeth. Elizabeth realized that Esme could not be the killer. Liesl told Nina about Britt's diagnosis. Britt revealed that she intended to leave her estate to Brad. Carly bribed a woman to lie to Drew. Afterwards, the woman demanded more money to remain silent about Carly's attempt to sabotage Drew's search for Willow's birth mother. Drew figured out Willow's secret, but Willow begged Drew not to tell anyone because she wanted to protect Wiley. Valentin and Anna grew closer as they remained a step ahead of Victor and the law.

Chelsea reached out to make amends to the people she'd hurt, including Sharon, Adam, Billy, and Victoria. Lily opened up to Daniel about her frustration with Billy's fixation on helping Chelsea. Billy agreed to Lily's request that they seek couples counseling. Kyle covertly whisked Diane off to the Abbott cabin to make it appear like she'd fled Genoa City. Nikki, Ashley, and Phyllis were thrilled that Diane had seemingly left town. Kyle and Summer struggled to explain Diane's absence to Harrison. Phyllis admitted that she'd told Jeremy where to find Diane. With Jack's encouragement, Summer fired Phyllis. Jack and Kyle tried to convince Jeremy that there was no reason for him to stay in town, but Jeremy later made plans to stick around. Over Jack and Summer's objections, Kyle considered returning to the cabin to spend Christmas Eve with Diane. Lily and Devon hired Daniel to start a gaming platform for Chancellor-Winters. Daniel invited Phyllis to work with him. Johnny and Connor continued to bond. Chance turned to Sharon for advice about how to deal with his failed marriage. Nate became suspicious about the cause of Devon and Amanda's breakup. Devon ordered Nate to stay out of his life. Tucker urged Ashley to leave Jabot and let him help her build her own empire. Nick was impressed with Sally's business plan to start an interior design company. Allie was unnerved when Noah confessed that Audra had kissed him.
