Steffy overheard Hope and Finn discussing the fairness of keeping them away from their parents, and Steffy warned Hope to keep her advice to herself and stop interfering in Steffy's marriage. Sheila was surprised when Deacon thanked her for her hospitality and left. Hope pleaded with Brooke to admit that she'd seen something good in Deacon at the time of Hope's conception. Deacon went to Brooke to ask forgiveness for the things he'd done, and he admitted that he fantasized about being a family with her and Hope. Hope rushed in and hugged Deacon. Quinn demanded that Eric fire Donna and banish her from their lives. Donna quit to spare Eric the pain of saying the words. Quinn tried to justify her demand to Eric, but he said she'd overreacted.

Cyrus warned Sonny that Joey Novak had returned to Port Charles to avenge Vincent's death. After a public confrontation with Carly, Joey was beaten, and he landed in the ICU. Sonny neutralized Joey. Liz drew a sketch of the mystery man, based on Portia's description. T.J. confirmed that his missing patient was the mystery man, but Curtis did not recognize the image. Maxie and Brook Lynn plotted against Gladys. Gladys knocked back a few drinks and offered to tell Austin stories about Brook Lynn. Anna and Valentin questioned Victor, but Victor refused to cooperate until he had secured his freedom. Nikolas made Shawn an offer to drop the investigation. Nikolas wondered if Victor had been responsible for Naomi Dreyfus' murder. Spencer disowned his Cassadine family. Alexis was given a pardon. Esme started her job at Spring Ridge, and she made a point to assure Ryan that she would take care of everything. Trina pitched an idea for a show at the gallery. Jason and Britt made their way to Cassadine Island. Liesl managed to escape, but Britt accidentally speared her mother. Peter was able to turn the tables on Jason when it became clear that Drew remained under Peter's control. Olivia got drunk and kissed Robert.

Abby dreamed about searching for Chance, questioning why he'd left her to go on a dangerous mission. Devon voiced his fury that Chance had chosen his job over his family. Abby continued to have faith that Chance was alive. Nina and Abby consoled one another. Devon hoped Dominic would provide Abby solace. Mariah confessed that she wished she was Dominic's mother. Adam set his plan to take down Billy and ChancComm in motion. Gaines showed up at Billy and Lily's apartment with a story about how he'd gotten out of Italy after hearing Victor and Adam's ominous plans for him. Billy agreed to hide Gaines in a motel while Billy checked out the story. Billy and Lily clashed over his plan to blackmail the Newmans with Gaines's allegations. After a tabloid published photos of Adam and Sally together, Adam ignored Chelsea's call. Nick and Phyllis struggled to accept that their relationship wasn't working. Phyllis confided in Jack, while Nick turned to Sharon and Noah for support. Noah suspected that Nick had never gotten over Sharon. Sutton attempted to goad Amanda into saying she planned to testify against him out of vengeance, but she realized he was recording their conversation and turned the tables on him. Phyllis warned Amanda that Sutton might try to eliminate her the same way he'd handled Richard. Ashland secured an evaluation appointment for experimental treatment. Victoria and Nick inched toward reconciliation.
