Sally's test results revealed that she was dying and only had one month to live. Sally swore Katie to secrecy about it, but Katie told Bill and Wyatt about the prognosis. As Katie urged Sally to fight her illness, Wyatt struggled to figure out how to support Sally. Thomas set Douglas up to witness his father and Zoe kissing. Douglas feared that Zoe would replace Hope. Hope berated Thomas for his carelessness with Douglas. Thomas decided that, before he got further involved with Zoe, he needed to know if he and Hope could give Douglas the family Douglas wanted. Brooke urged Hope to see that Thomas was up to his old tricks.

Clyde helped Ben escape from prison. Stefano revealed his identity to Chad, and Chad accidentally shot Stefano. Kayla patched up "Steve's" gunshot wound, and he manipulated her to stay in hiding with him. Rafe, Roman, and Kate saved John and Marlena, and they captured Gina. Shawn made an appeal to Gina, but Gina was adamant that Hope was gone forever. Chad and Abigail warned Gabi about Stefano, but she did not believe that he was alive in Steve's body. When there were no matches for Mackenzie's bone marrow, Victor asked Theresa to test Tate. Jennifer remembered the night of her fall and that Gina had pushed her. The new pacemaker was installed in Julie, but Gabi had control over it. Gabi and Eli said their vows, but Lani interrupted the ceremony before Julie could pronounce that Gabi and Eli were married. Ciara helped hide Ben in the DiMera guesthouse, but Ben asked Ciara not to go on the run with him.

Brando answered Carly's questions about his estrangement from Gladys, his drug addiction, and how he'd turned his life around. Dev met Brando. Spinelli announced that he, Ellie, and Georgie were moving back to Port Charles. Brad told Nelle that he and Lucas were taking Wiley and moving to Portland, Oregon. Brad was pleasantly surprised when Lucas didn't raise any objection to moving. Nelle moved up her plans to sell her shares of ELQ to Valentin. Jax and Nina decided to explore a relationship and made love. Valentin was stunned when a DNA test revealed that he was not a Cassadine. Valentin contemplated killing Jax but instead got drunk and thought about Helena's lies. Finn told Jason and Sam about Anna's efforts to safeguard Peter. Finn packed up Violet and walked out on Anna when he realized that Anna was determined to protect Peter at all costs. Peter made a phone call to get Sam sent back to Pentonville. Sam and Jason had a close call with Delores, but Epiphany intervened to help Sam.

Sharon began chemotherapy. Word spread about Kyle and Lola's breakup. Rey blasted Kyle for his treatment of Lola. Theo informed Lola that Kyle had already moved on with Summer. Lola kissed Theo, but he pulled away, knowing she'd have regrets if things went any further. Adam and Chelsea opted not to move to Paris. Riza reported to Adam that "she" had started talking to the cops. Phyllis planned to follow Adam and Chance to Las Vegas, but she later decided to have a waitress bug their conversation instead. Phyllis heard Adam and Chance discussing an incident where Adam had saved Chance after Chance's cover had been blown. Adam made plans to keep himself out of prison by paying off a woman to stop asking questions about her husband's disappearance. Victoria and Billy broke the news of their breakup to Johnny and Katie. Victoria demanded that Billy keep the kids away from Amanda. Amanda had Ripley arrested for violating the restraining order against him. Amanda threatened to send Ripley to jail unless he left town. Billy purchased a new sportscar, which he promptly crashed into a tree. Nate and Amanda worried that Billy was addicted to thrill seeking. Ashley returned in anticipation of Victor's anniversary celebration. Chloe was irritated when she learned Kevin had learned the sex of their baby after they'd agreed to be surprised, but she was overjoyed when he announced that they were having a boy. Kevin worried that he would pass on Terrible Tom's legacy to his own son.
