In the hospital, Ridge and Thorne waited with their wives and Bill's sons for Bill to wake up. Detective Sanchez questioned Ridge and Thorne about Bill's fall. They admitted to fighting with Bill but insisted the fall had been an accident. Everyone feared Bill wouldn't make it, but when Brooke visited Bill, he finally opened his eyes. Pam and Quinn got into a heated argument about their places in the Forrester family. During a scuffle over Stephanie's portrait, Quinn's foot ripped through the canvas. Eric told Pam that he couldn't choose between her and Quinn, but each woman felt as if he'd already chosen the other.

Lani convinced Abe to offer Sheila a job. Roman agreed to woo Hattie. Paul told Sonny that he was moving in with Will. J.J. doubted Gabi's story. Mimi confessed that Rex was the father of her daughter, but Rex did not know. Chloe figured out that baby Bonnie was Mimi's child. Belle agreed to represent Bonnie in the custody dispute. Rex revealed to Kate that he was engaged to Sarah Horton. E.J. started a fire in Kristen's lair when he attacked Dr. Rolf. Brady rescued Holly from the burning building, but Eric was unable to free Nicole from the rubble. Firefighters did not find Nicole's body. Sami rescued a burned man, believing it to be E.J. With Kate backing Gabi's story about Abigail, Chad and Jennifer agreed to commit Abigail. Abigail married Stefan so that she could not be committed.

Ryan indulged in a fantasy about killing Laura. Laura decided to throw her hat into the ring by running for mayor as a write-in candidate. Laura and Carly teamed up to work on cleaning up Ferncliff. Carly had an encounter with Mary Pat. Sasha decided to extend her stay in Port Charles to get to know Nina. Kiki invited Sasha to crash at her place. Ava was pleased when she noticed that Sasha had taken an interest in Griffin. Franco was concerned to learn that "Kevin" had been encouraging Ava's worst impulses. Alexis agreed to represent Oscar in his quest to be emancipated from his parents. Oscar took a job busing tables at Charlie's Pub and found a place to live. Kim appealed to Sam and Julian to persuade Alexis to drop the case, but Alexis refused. Spinelli arrived in town and went undercover with Sam to question Margaux's mother. Sam found a stash of letters from Joe Scully to Jeanette Marino. Kristina was hurt when she called Parker and realized that Parker had already moved on. Finn was delighted when he arrived home from a long day and found Anna waiting for him.

Kyle discovered a document that gave Ashley the patent rights to all the Jabot products she'd created. Jack convinced Dina to let them shred the contract. Tipped off by Dina's ramblings, Traci found the shredded document and pieced it back together. Traci forced Jack and Kyle to confess what they'd done. Ashley was floored by the proof that her mother had really loved her all along. A series of flashbacks showed how Jack and Ashley's rivalry had developed in their youth. Ashley demanded that she be reinstated as CEO in exchange for the patents, but her family refused. Jack offered to buy the patents from Ashley, but she opted to keep them and leave town. After Mariah began receiving creepy calls, Sharon convinced Nikki to pay the blackmailer. Sharon was livid when she learned that Nick had ordered Rey to stay away from her. Rey clammed up when Abby inquired about his wife. Lily was targeted in prison after defending a fellow inmate. Cane was told that he couldn't see Lily because she was in solitary confinement. The warden decided to move Lily to another facility to keep her safe, but Lily was devastated when she found out she'd be transferred hundreds of miles away.
