Xander resisted, and Zoe decided to wait for him to lose patience with "little Miss Emma." After fuming over Ridge's decision to give the extra funds to Steffy's line and not Hope's, Brooke appealed to Katie on Bill's behalf, to no avail. Brooke promised to keep trying, and the grateful Bill kissed her. Thorne decided that getting married would make him and Katie look good at the custody hearing, and he proposed to Katie.

Bonnie asked Lucas to keep her out of prison for their daughter's sake. Lucas remembered sleeping with Bonnie, and he agreed to take a paternity test. Kayla told Paul that his leg paralysis might be permanent. Will and Sonny agreed to break off their relationship because Paul needed Will. Belle delivered Marlena's advance directive to Kayla, who informed the board. John told Belle he would never forgive her for giving the directive to Kayla. Ben restored Bo's bike for Ciara. Hope arrested Ben for setting the cabin fire, based on new evidence she had found at the scene. The family said goodbye to Marlena, and Kayla disconnected Marlena's life support.

Hoping to assist Sonny, Mike tampered with a gas line in Charlie's Pub. The explosion unearthed the skeleton of the man that Frank Smith had ordered Sonny to kill. Margaux told Drew about her father, a mafia consigliere who had vanished without a trace thirty years earlier. Margaux and Jordan paid Mike a visit to ask him about his friend, Charlie Delaney. Drew confided to Sam that Oscar was terminally ill. Kim was furious when she learned that Drew had shared the grim prognosis with Sam. Cameron and Oscar traded blows over Josslyn, but Cameron walked away with newfound respect for Oscar. Nelle sent Michael a letter assuring him that she forgave him for their baby's death then suggesting that he might take comfort in spending time with Brad and Lucas' son. Robin introduced herself to Peter. Peter assured Robin that he didn't mean her or her children any harm. Peter had a panic attack when he and Maxie were briefly stranded in an elevator together, but Maxie helped him through it. Nina was certain that her mother had bequeathed her a broken heart pendant as a sign that Nina's child was alive. Ryan, posing as Kevin, encouraged Lulu to proceed with plans for a special edition of the Invader commemorating the 25th anniversary of Ryan Chamberlain's killing spree.

Victor showed up at Dark Horse's launch party at Nick's invitation. Arturo accepted a full-time job with Nick, but he became uncomfortable with the media attention. Rey interrupted the festivities and placed Nick under arrest. After securing an immunity deal, Nick confessed to impersonating J.T. Devon surprised Lily by showing up at the prison to forgive her. Jack and Lauren were relieved to rule out the possibility that Neil Fenmore was his father. Abby arranged for Mariah to post a photo of a mystery man who could be Jack's father on GC Buzz. Victor admitted to Nikki that the man was his father, Albert, but he refused to tell Jack. Victor's brother, Matt, confirmed that the man was Albert. Jack reeled when Abby blabbed that Victor might be his half-brother. Phyllis continued to hide her concerns about Billy's gambling as his reckless behavior escalated. Mariah worried that Tessa had only returned to town because she needed money, but Mariah was appeased when Tessa said she loved Mariah. Sharon was skeptical about Tessa's claim that she'd been attacked at Crimson Lights until Sharon spotted Tessa's bruises. Sharon's doubts returned when Tessa revealed that she'd erased the security footage of the incident. Kyle was unnerved when Summer treated settling their bet as meaningless sex, and he pretended to be asleep to avoid collecting. Kyle later admitted he still had feelings for Summer and was crushed when she told him she loved him like a brother. Kyle was intrigued when he met Lola.
