Liam met Steffy at the doctor's office for a pregnancy checkup. The two bonded over the baby and chose to name her Kelly after Liam's mother. Bill continued to ply Wyatt with gifts and visions of controlling Spencer, but Justin warned Bill that Wyatt might be unable to keep the truth from Liam. Katie tried to help Wyatt by convincing him that Liam was better off with Hope, but when the wedding officiant, Carter, asked for opinions on whether Hope and Liam should get married, Wyatt took Liam upstairs and told him the truth about Bill's fake ongoing affair with Steffy.

Abigail wanted to have Stefan charged with rape but decided to drop the matter in order to prevent Stefan from having Chad charged with assault. Chad convinced Trask to go easy on Abigail, who ultimately accepted a plea bargain that hinged on the completion of court-mandated therapy sessions instead of prison time. Stefan vowed to avenge Vivian's death. Rafe assured Kate that Vivian's death would likely be ruled an accident. Kate was thrilled because, unbeknownst to anyone else who was still alive to tell the tale, she had intentionally killed her archenemy. Vivian awoke in an unfamiliar place and saw a very familiar face. Will discovered hidden entries in Rolf's diary. Leo sued Sonny for sexual harassment. Xander's return to Salem left many people on edge. Brady and Eve found out why Theresa had really left Salem. Theresa tried to convince Brady and Eve to end their relationship. Brady confided in Marlena about feeling torn between Eve and Theresa. John and Paul went to Mexico City to save Chloe, unaware that Theresa had warned Mateo to expect intruders. Tripp planned a romantic dinner for Ciara, but things went awry when they tried to take their relationship to the next level. Gabi found herself in danger again at Statesville.

As the 2018 Nurses Ball drew to a close, Maxie went into premature labor and, with Peter's help, gave birth to a baby boy on the side of the road. Maxie named her son James Malcom West to honor Nathan and Mac. Anna was shocked when Peter confronted her on Pier 55 with a gun and revealed that he was Henrik Faison. Jason arrived in time to stop Peter from shooting Anna, but, to keep Jason from killing him, Anna was forced to explain that she was Henrik's mother. Anna tracked down Valentin and demanded to know why he'd given her infant son to Faison to raise. Nina left Valentin when she learned about Valentin's connection to Henrik. Robert arrested Peter, but Peter offered to cut a deal. Ava jumped to the wrong conclusion when she saw Griffin comfort Kiki after a tense encounter with Dr. Bensch. After Ava broke things off with Griffin, Griffin and Kiki drowned their sorrows in a bottle of Champagne then ended up in bed together. Kiki begged Griffin not to tell Ava about their drunken encounter. Alexis shared a passionate kiss with Julian, but she realized that it was a mistake and called her sponsor. Carly denied that she had pushed Nelle, but Diane warned Carly that it would be an uphill battle to prove, so she advised Carly to plead not guilty by reason of insanity.

Mariah learned about Nick and Sharon's reunion after she walked in on them having sex. Nikki was dismayed to hear that Nick and Sharon were back together. Nick was stunned when Victor not only supported Nick's reconciliation with Sharon but also invited Nick to return to Newman Enterprises. Nick, Sharon, and Mariah commemorated the anniversary of Cassie's death. Despite Sharon and Phyllis' objections, Nick decided to accept Victor's offer. The Abbotts were surprised when Jack returned home after his bender, acting as though nothing had happened. Jack was thrown to find out that Billy had been named Jabot's CEO. Jack and Ashley bristled at the changes Billy made at the company. Billy blocked Jack's efforts to overturn the blood Abbott clause and threw out Ashley's business plan, opting to make his own decisions. Jack resigned from Jabot, but Kyle decided to stay on board. Kyle showed interest in Tessa. Devon and Hilary worked together to arrange for Charlie to make a "promposal" to Shauna on live television. Touched by Hilary's efforts to make Shauna's prom night special, Devon presented Hilary with a tiara to make her own prom fantasies a reality. After a friend bailed on vacation plans, Abby invited Arturo to join her on a trip to Miami, and he accepted.
