Ridge tried to maintain his "big brother" advantage over Thorne, but after Sheila revealed to Thorne that Ridge had had an affair with Quinn, Thorne knocked Ridge on his butt and declared that Thorne would stand up to Ridge and convince the family -- especially Brooke -- to do the same.

Kate pleaded with Lucas to stop drinking, but he refused and got into a car accident. Sami offered to help Lucas get out of jail if he promised to quit drinking. For his children, Lucas promised Sami he would work to stay sober. Rafe and Sami found comfort in one another's arms and slept together. Hope told Sami that she still wanted to be with Rafe. Hope admitted to Rafe that she had been scared to lose him and then proposed to him. Rafe started to tell Hope that he had slept with Sami, but Hope stopped him and offered a fresh start. Shawn and Belle returned to town with Ciara, who had a grudge against Claire for stealing Theo. Ciara blamed Claire for Theo's coma. Tripp told Steve that Kate had blackmailed him. Belle told Will that he had cheated on Sonny with Paul. Curious, Will talked to Paul about their affair and kissed him. After talking to Chad, Sonny decided to end things with Paul and work to save his marriage to Will. Eric convinced Will to give Sami a second chance. Eve pushed Maggie's buttons. Brady asked Paul to investigate Eve for leverage.

Maxie and Lulu donned Hazmat suits then broke into the editor's office at the Invader and found proof that Nelle had leaked the story about Man Landers. Maxie and Lulu shared their findings with Michael, who decided to cut all ties with Nelle and sell her apartment. Nelle informed Michael that she was pregnant with his child. Drew was arrested by the Navy for desertion. Sam appealed to Jason to help his brother, so Jason talked to Commander Fuller about the abduction. Kim told Drew that Oscar was his son. Sonny and Jason received a lead on Cesar Faison, but they found Britt at the location instead of her father. Britt confessed that her father had been working with a partner, but she had no idea who the person was. Julian paid Olivia a visit and made it clear that he intended to be a part of Leo's life. Olivia agreed to let Julian spend time with Leo because she didn't want to repeat the same mistakes that she had made with Dante. Monica made it clear that both Jason and Drew were Alan's sons and a part of the Quartermaine family. Franco and Elizabeth became engaged.

Cane was touched when Mattie donated blood for baby Sam. Sam made it through surgery, and Cane was finally able to hold his son. Abby agreed to return to Newman as long as she could appeal Victoria's decisions to Victor. Victor told Noah that Tessa had stolen Nikki's gun. Victor offered Tessa money to leave town, but she refused. Tessa turned down an opportunity to gather evidence to implicate Victor in the sex trafficking ring, and she was arrested for stealing the gun. Devon filled in as a guest on Hilary's show when Tessa failed to appear, but he was appalled when Hilary revealed that Tessa had been hauled in by the cops. Tessa later appeared on Hilary's show and publicly admitted that she'd taken the gun. Scott agreed to move in with Sharon. Scott and Abby almost kissed, and he admitted that he was physically attracted to her, but he insisted on staying with Sharon. After Ashley declined Ravi's efforts to spend quality time together, he accepted a job offer from Victoria. Billy bought Phyllis a racehorse. Jack and Ashley clashed after he agreed that Jabot would sponsor Hilary's show, and she appealed to the board of directors to give her complete authority to run the company. Nick made it his personal mission to stop real estate developers from paving over Chancellor Park to build condos. Nick was livid when he learned that Newman was behind the project.
