Pedro Pascal is a Chilean-American actor widely known for his work in film, television, and theater. He was born José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal on April 2, 1975, in Santiago, Chile. His family relocated to Denmark before settling in San Antonio, Texas. He developed an early passion for film and studied acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.


His introduction to a career in acting was via guest roles in television series such as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1999),” “The Good Wife (2009),” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2006).”


He gained widespread recognition for his role in 2014 as Oberyn Martell in HBO’s “Game of Thrones (2011).” His performance in the show introduced him to a global audience. He also starred as Javier Peña in Netflix’s crime drama Narcos (2015), further establishing his presence in the industry. In 2019, he took on the lead role in Disney+’s “The Mandalorian,” a part of the Star Wars franchise.


In film, he featured in major productions like “Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017),” and “Wonder Woman 1984 (2020).” He is also a three-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee and has won 22 accolades across his decorated career.


Pascal has several upcoming projects including “The Last of Us- Season 2,” set to premiere on April 13, 2025. He also features in the romantic-comedy “Materialists (2025).” He will play the role of Reed Richards or Mister Fantastic in “The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025),” “Avengers: Doomsday (2026),” and “Avengers: Secret Wars (2027).”
