The Friday Night Lights alum, Minka Kelly, recently appeared in one of the recent episodes of Today with Jenna & Friends, in which she discussed leaving Hollywood and going back to her "backup" career as an operating room scrub nurse. Minka, who was also joined by guest and co-host Andy Cohen, also talked about her brand-new TV show, Ransom Canyon.

When Andy Cohen asked Minka if it was true that she thought about quitting Hollywood, The Roommate actress said:

"(She's) thought that many times."

Minka continued saying:

"Of course! I’ve thought that [after] every job that finishes. And then if any amount of time passes, you’re like, ‘Okay, this is it. I had a good run. And that’s okay, everything’s okay. I have my backup. I can be a scrub tech again.’"

As Minka left Andy and Jenna in shock, she confessed that she had thought several times about returning to her previous job as a surgical scrub nurse. However, she explained:

It’s a thing that gives [her] a bit of confidence. You know this isn’t the whole world. So the rejection that you get being an actor is sort of balanced out for me and you can go, ‘But I’m good at this. I know I’m good at this.’"

Besides talking about leaving Hollywood and going back to her old job, Minka Kelly also discussed her new Netflix original series, Ransom Canyon, which also stars the Life As We Know It actor, Josh Duhamel. The romantic western drama series revolves around Quinn and Staten, played by Minka and Josh, respectively, and narrates the story of a small Texas town where three ranching families fight for their land.

Josh Duhamel, who has been in several big-budget, Hollywood blockbusters like Shotgun Wedding and the Transformers film series, is working with Minka Kelly for the first time. Minka earlier informed People that it was great to work with a seasoned actor like Duhamel. The Blackwater Lane actress said:

"I mean, I remember we got together just to see what our chemistry would be like before we started shooting. And immediately, it was just like butter. I'm like, 'Oh, this guy, we have such an easy exchange.' I felt so safe with him."

Minka further added:

"I remember texting him right afterwards going, 'I'm so excited I get to do this with you. I feel so safe with you.' And that really just continued throughout the series. I just had a really great solid partner through this. And he's so amazing."
