Nikki Glaser has no plans of going to space.
In a recent interview with E!News, the stand-up comedian joked that after being named on the TIME 100 Most Influential List 2025, her next goal is to go to 'space'. This happened at the Time100 Gala in New York in April.
The comic instantly gave clarification and said that she was joking and has no plans of going to outer space and elaborated the reason for the same.
"Just kidding, no, no, I do not want to go to space.” The 40-year-old comedian clarified. “Not only because of the backlash I will face, but I just have no interest in going to space.”
Nikki Glaser further elaborated that after being included in the prestigious Time100 Most Influential People, she wants to enjoy her success and explore many other things such as 'street photography' and 'writing more music'.
After hosting the Golden Globe 2025 and having a busy year, Nikki Glaser mentioned that rather than taking any impulsive decisions, she would like to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
"I want to enjoy the riches of my success. I think I’ve been just trying to maintain it, like ‘don’t go away,’ and I haven’t, like, really enjoyed any of it, like you’re just trying to keep it,” said Glaser. “I want to relax and let it in a bit.”
Nikki Glaser isn't the only one commenting on The Blue Origin Space Mission
Nikki Glaser cracked this joke amidst the Blue Origin Space Mission controversy. The Blue Origin Space Mission is an all-female flight to outer space. On April 14, the 11th flight of the mission flew to outer space with a selected team.
The team included Jeff Bezos's fiancee Lauren Sanchez, popular singer Katy Perry, Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, producer Kerainne Flynn and civil rights activist Amanda Nyugen. The team travelled to outer space in an 11-minute flight.

The team faced backlash for flying to outer space glamorously. While co-hosting in a recent episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, actress Olivia Munn called out the space flight 'a bit gluttonous' and mentioned that it takes a lot of money to fly to outer space while there are so many people across the globe who are struggling to buy two square meals.
"It’s so much money to go to space, and there’s a lot of people who can’t even afford eggs."
Emily Ratajkowski also shared a video on April 14 on Tiktok with the caption that stressed upon how many resources are being wasted to send these women to space.
“Look at the state of the world and think about how many resources went into putting these women into space."
Other stars such as Nikki Glaser also joked about the controversy with a lighter tone. Amy Schumer joked in an Instagram video on April 14.
"Guys, last second they added me to space and I'm going to space," joked Schumer, "I was on the Subway, and I got the text and they were like, 'Do you want to go to space?' so I'm going to space."
Defending the ladies, King told People Magazine that "anybody who is criticizing it doesn't really understand what is happening here."
Perry on the other hand doesn't care much about what the haters have to say. She seemingly adressed the criticism at a recent space themed concert of hers and asked the audiences 'Has anybody called your dreams crazy?'
The singer had also brought along a daisy on her trip to space.
