A man who stalked and terrorized actress Eva LaRue (ex-Maria Santos Grey, All My Children; ex-Celeste Rosales, The Young and the Restless; ex-Margot Collins, Santa Barbara) and her daughter with continued threats of violence has been sentenced to 40 months in federal prison for his years-long campaign of harassment.

An Ohio man who stalked and terrorized actress Eva LaRue (ex-Maria Santos Grey, All My Children; ex-Celeste Rosales, The Young and the Restless; ex-Margot Collins, Santa Barbara) and her daughter with continued threats of violence for twelve years has been sentenced to 40 months in federal prison.

James David Rogers, 58, was sentenced in Los Angeles on Monday by a U.S. District Court judge to 40 months in federal prison. Rogers pleaded guilty back in April to two counts of having mailed threatening communications, plus two counts of stalking and one count of threat by interstate communications.

Court documents revealed that from March 2007 until his November 2019 arrest, Rogers "stalked, threatened, and harassed" LaRue and her daughter, who was five years old when the harassment began. According to the New York Times, LaRue is writing a show that is partly an autobiographical look about her experiences over the past twelve years.

LaRue got her daytime start on NBC's Santa Barbara in 1988 before joining the cast of All My Children as Maria Santos, a role that garnered her a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1997, and a 2004 nod for Outstanding Original Song for the song "Dance Again With You." In 2020, LaRue won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Guest Performer for her work as Celeste Rosales on Y&R.

LaRue also appeared in the cast of the hit CBS primetime drama CSI: Miami from 2005 to 2012.
