ABC is launching a multi-generational comedy quiz show called Generation Gap, to be hosted by Live with Kelly and Ryan star Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley Santos, All My Children).

All My Children alum Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley Santos) became America's sweetheart when she became the co-host of the morning talk show Live! with Regis and Kelly in 2001, and her throne is expanding. Ripa has signed on as the host of a charming new ABC game show called Generation Gap.

According to Deadline, the comedy quiz show will see family members of different ages work together to answer questions about each other's generations. The show will feature pop-culture trivia and challenges, such as asking an eight-year-old to finish the famous catchphrase, "Go ahead. Make my (blank)."

The game show is a remake of ABC's 1969 game show of the same name, and it hails from Mark Burnett and Jimmy Kimmel, the latter of whom has regularly performed a "generation gap" bit on his late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with guests such as Cousin Sal. The show will be produced by Kimmel's Kimmelot, MGM Television, and Ripa and Mark Consuelos' (ex-Mateo Santos, AMC) Milojo Productions.

Generation Gap is set to premiere on Thursday, July 7, at 9PM, after Press Your Luck.
