Beloved actress Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children) is mourning the loss of her mother, who passed away from lung cancer just one year after her father died of the same disease.

Fans are sending thoughts and prayers to actress Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children; ex-Bethany Bryant, The Young and the Restless), who shared on social media that her mother has passed away from lung cancer. Tragically, Stause's father died from the same cancer in April of 2019.

"In disbelief that you are gone. Feeling just about every emotion, but I find comfort knowing Dad is up there taking care of you and showing you the ropes like only he could," Stause shared in an emotional Instagram post. "Absolutely heartbreaking watching you take your last labored breath, but there is a peace knowing you two are together again, free from the pain that plagued your time here. A free spirit and rebel till the very end."

My beautiful Mom, in your own words #FuckCancer Our family would like to thank the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center and especially Debbie and Pam who helped lovingly assist our Mom to the other side. Your kindness and care in this time will never be forgotten.

Stause first shared the news that her mother had cancer back in February of this year. The actress took to Instagram on World Cancer Day with a message about her mom's diagnosis. "I can't make sense of what life is teaching me yet, but my heart is with every person fighting this horrible disease and every person that it robbed a loved one from."

The actress has experienced several heartfelt moments with her mom in the past several months, some of which she's shared with fans. She became a Stand Up to Cancer ambassador in her mother's honor, and in June, she gave her mother a wig after she lost her hair from chemotherapy.

"So I wore this wig many years ago to the American Music Awards just for fun to change it up. But now since my mom has lost her hair from cancer treatment, I felt like what better time to dust it off and have a little fun??" she posted. "Here's me teaching my mom to give a good soap turn-hair flip."
