Jacob Young and Alexa Havins reunite for a new movie

Get ready for a little Pine Valley nostalgia to the max: All My Children stars Jacob Young (ex-J.R. Chandler) and Alexa Havins (ex-Babe Carey) are starring in a new film together.

In news that's sure to give All My Children fans major joy, popular Pine Valley couple Jacob Young (ex-J.R. Chandler) and Alexa Havins (ex-Babe Carey) have teamed up for a new film!

Young, who currently stars as The Bold and the Beautiful's Rick Forrester, has kept quiet about specific details on the film other than that he's been hard at work filming in Albuquerque, New Mexico. However, he just gave a major tease of what fans can expect by sharing a photo of himself with his former AMC costar.

"Guess who I'm working with on this movie!??" he captioned the pic.

Young and Havins are no strangers to sharing the screen, having played on-again, off-again Pine Valley couple J.R. and Babe from 2003 to 2007. The two had their fair share of drama, including a love triangle situation with J.R.'s stepbrother, Jaime (played by Havins' real-life husband, Justin Bruening).

Havins doesn't seem to have an Instagram account, but writer/director Tamar Halpern tagged the actress in a photo in New Mexico, writing: "Shooting a thriller with Alexa Havins is almost as fun as grabbing brunch together."

Havins played the role of AMC's Babe from 2003 to 2007 and made a brief return in 2011. Her credits since that time include Castle, Constantine, and The Astronaut Wives Club. She currently stars on the British sci-fi series Torchwood: Miracle Day.

As soap fans know, Young was just recently dropped to recurring status at B&B, which is why he's now available for outside projects like the New Mexico film he and Havins are currently working on.

"I started so early in the industry, and I was limited on what kind of characters I could play. Most of them were on the younger side, and daytime would lean itself to that," the actor told Variety. "There were very few film roles that would have been right at that age [of] 17 to early 20s, and if I was trying to get those roles at that time, you kind of get pigeonholed into the teen movies, and very few people make it out of that alive with a career still intact. But we felt with the way the market is going right now and the offers that I've been getting that this was the right time...to make that move. It feels right. There are a lot of opportunities that have been coming -- opportunities I've had to turn down because of being tied up under contract."

Young has been free enough to embark on a career as a country musician, however, and will be releasing his next single in just a couple of weeks. The actor is also planning a summer tour which you can learn more about here.

"Get your lips ready and keep those kisses sweet! Whiskey Kiss is coming at you June first. Anywhere and everywhere you can download and stream music!" he shared on Instagram. "Super proud of this track!"
