All My Children and Grey's Anatomy fans alike will soon be getting a blast from the past. Former Pine Valley favorite Justin Bruening (ex-Jamie Martin) is making a return to the long-running medical drama.
EW reports that the Nebraska native will be making a return stint as April's ex-fiancé Matthew Taylor, who first appeared in season nine of the primetime series.
As fans may recall, April left Matthew at the altar to run off with Jackson (Jesse Williams), whom she's since married, had a child with, and divorced.
Though most details about Breuning's return are being kept under wraps, Grey's Anatomy boss Krista Vernoff did give this subtle tease: "Matthew Taylor will pay a visit to Grey Sloan and the impact of his return will see April reevaluating some of the decisions she has made in her life."
Bruening, who played AMC's Jamie from 2003 to 2011, has many credits to his name. His most notable credits include Ringer, Switched at Birth, Hawaii Five-0, Ravenswood, and Good Behavior.
Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8PM ET on ABC.
In case you missed it, Bruening was also part of the awesome flash mob proposal episode in Grey's ninth season. You can check it out below.
