AMC alum Finn Wittrock cast in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story

All My Children alum Finn Wittrock (ex-Damon Miller) has been cast opposite former General Hospital star Ricky Martin (ex-Miguel Morez) in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

ABC soap fans now have two reasons to tune in to the upcoming anthology crime series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. Not only was former General Hospital star Ricky Martin (ex-Miguel Morez) previously announced to be cast as Gianni Versace's longtime lover, Antonio D'Amico, in the upcoming season that covers the 1997 murder of the famous fashion designer, but former All My Children star Finn Wittrock (ex-Damon Miller) has joined the cast, as well.

The actor, who previously starred in American Horror Story: Freak Show, has been cast as Jeff Trail, a friend and eventual victim of Versace's killer, Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss), EW reports.

The Ryan Murphy series follows both the eponymous designer, played by Joy's Edgar Ramirez, and Cunanan, who murdered five people during a three-month killing spree. The series cuts back and forth between the murder in July 1997 and various points in both men's lives.

American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace, which also stars Penélope Cruz as Gianni's sister Donatella, is set for an early 2018 debut.

Wittrock, who recently signed with CAA, starred on AMC as Liza's much younger lover from 2009 to 2011. He later went on to appear in a variety of high-profile projects like the film La La Land and the television show Masters of Sex.

What do you think about Wittrock joining the cast of American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace? Are you looking forward to seeing him share the screen with Ricky Martin?
