Josh Duhamel booted from plane

Former All My Children star Josh Duhamel was escorted off a Kentucky-bound plane after refusing to turn off his phone. Duhamel spent three years in Pine Valley before hitting the silver screen. His most recent release is Life as We Know It.

Former All My Children star, Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres) was removed from an airplane on Thursday for refusing to turn off his Blackberry.

The 38-year-old actor was traveling from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Kentucky when he plane was delayed. According to celebrity tattle site, TMZ.com, the Daytime Emmy winner was asked by a male flight attendant to turn off his phone on three separate occasions. The site alleges that Duhamel was "very rude," laughed at the flight attendant's request, and refused to comply with the request.

After Duhamel refused an addition request while the plane was on the runway, the aircraft was turned around and sent back to the gate. Once there, Duhamel was escorted off the plane by two US Airways workers.

A spokesperson for Duhamel states that the actor was texting about his flight delay. "He's sorry" for the incident, the rep said in a statement.

"I learned that it's best to turn them off. Not my favorite moment," Duhamel told Access Hollywood when asked about the incident along the Red Carpet for this year's Trevor LIVE benefit. "I'm good. Lesson learned."

Duhamel appeared on All My Children from 1999 to 2002 as Leo du Pres, the half-brother of David Hayward and love interest of Greenlee Smythe. He earned three consecutive Daytime Emmy nominations in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category from 2001 to 2003. He took home the Emmy in 2002.

Since leaving AMC, Duhamel has become a full-fledged movie star. In addition to appearing in two Transformers films, he also appears in the recently released Life as We Know It. The three films have grossed nearly $800-million at the box office.
