There's a lot of industry buzz that Becca might be given the heave-ho. After all, Becca's two main love interests are no longer available --- Scott (played by Forbes March) is being written out and Leo and Greenlee are the hot item of the moment.

Abigail Spencer, the actress who created the role on June 3rd of last year, is only halfway through her three-year contract with the show. That does not mean, however, that she cannot be released from that contract. The most likely time, if the decision were to go in that direction, would be at the end of the second year of Spencer's contract.

Spencer remains committed to the role and hopes that she'll be allowed to stick around AMC. The actress has done some work outside of the soap, most recently in Campfire Stories, an independent film that also stars Forbes March.
