Liam and Ridge shared their concerns about Steffy's decision to return to the cliff house, but Ridge said that if they pressed Steffy, she'd run. Finn dragged Sheila into the cliff house to have it out once and for all, but even after he successfully forced Sheila to go, Steffy remained terrified of a future with Sheila in it. Steeling her resolve, Steffy decided to take the kids -- and Taylor -- to Rome that very night. Finn and Liam respected her decision. Sheila shared her suspicions with Deacon that Steffy still had feelings for Liam. After a talk with Hope, R.J. concluded that she thought she and Thomas were the future of Forrester. When speaking with Brooke and Ridge about Eric, R.J. discovered that they preferred for Eric to rest on his laurels, and R.J. committed himself to helping Eric produce his legacy line.

E.J. told Johnny that he had been wrong about Chanel. Kayla hired Talia on a provisional basis. Harris and Ava escaped from Bayview. Johnny told Chanel that he still loved her. Tripp and Wendy finally made love. Alex flirted with Theresa. Salemites and Chelsea attended Victor's funeral. John learned that John Doe was actually his father, Timothy Robicheaux. Sarah had her baby, but there were complications. Justin learned that Victor had canceled his will. Vivian announced that she was Victor's legal spouse and official heir.

Sonny remained in federal custody on a 72-hour hold, while his loved ones scrambled to figure out who had turned against him. Anna followed Valentin to a house where he had arranged to meet his contact at Pikeman, but Valentin claimed that he had met his contact at a café. Valentin assured Anna that Pikeman had nothing to do with Sonny's arrest. Alexis warned Nina that those close to Sonny -- including his children -- were in danger from Sonny's enemies. Nina turned to Carly for help, but Carly cautioned Nina to remain calm. Dex was filled with remorse because he feared that he'd been instrumental in the FBI getting their hands on incriminating evidence against Sonny. Cody didn't waste time seeking out Sasha at Ferncliff, and he quickly put the pieces together when he discovered that Montague was Sasha's doctor. After Cody's confrontation with Montague turned violent, Cody and Sasha escaped. Sam confessed to Dante that she had helped Cody get into Ferncliff. Molly and T.J.'s surrogate took the next step in the journey to help Molly and T.J. become parents. Trina vented to Josslyn about Esme. Olivia and Leo accompanied "Eddie" to the recording studio. Portia made it clear that Anna was not welcomed.

Kyle and Audra agreed to let Nikki believe they'd broken things off but planned to sneak around to see one another on the sly. Nikki decided to let Kyle stay on at Newman Media but wanted time to determine his title. Nate caught Audra and Kyle flirting and warned Audra that she was playing with fire by deceiving Nikki. Victoria confronted Victor about reorganizing Newman without her knowledge, but she was elated that he'd fired Adam. Adam turned to Sharon to help him become a better person, but she told him he'd have to earn back his family's trust himself. Victor returned Kirsten Incorporated to Sharon with no strings attached. As Nick grappled with whether to return to Newman, Sharon suggested that he join her in running Kirsten instead. Adam pledged to make amends with his family. Billy confided to Lily that he believed he was the right Abbott to lead Jabot. Jack opposed Billy's recommendation that Jabot draft a bylaw to prevent Diane from becoming a board member for at least ten years. Kyle's loved ones voiced concern about his state of mind. Kyle said he'd consider returning to Jabot if Jack fired Billy. Daniel and Lily separately contemplated where their relationship was heading. Daniel warned Phyllis not to play matchmaker between him and Heather. Devon assured Mariah that she and Tessa would find ways to communicate with Aria. Devon invited Mariah to stay with him and Abby while Tessa was away on a business trip.
