Paris and Carter's romantic evening went south when Carter broke things off with her. Grace was delighted to hear it and warned Carter that she'd be watching. By the time Brooke decided that she had to tell Ridge the full story about New Year's Eve, Steffy and Thomas had already conveyed the information to Taylor, who decided she needed to be the one to tell Ridge. Steffy cryptically berated Brooke for being Brooke until Brooke asked Steffy to leave. Ridge believed that there had to be an explanation for what had happened, and even though Brooke had let him down, he asked her to give him all the details about that night. Ridge concluded that Deacon was the reason she'd taken a drink. As Taylor showed up at Brooke's house for a confrontation, Ridge strode into Deacon's supply closet and sucker-punched him.

After Peter escaped, Mac and Dante were rushed to the hospital. Dante suffered minor injuries, but Mac was taken into surgery. Felicia breathed a sigh of relief that Mac was expected to make a full recovery. Victor agreed to provide Peter with safe passage out of Port Charles in exchange for Charlotte's safe return. Word spread that "Bailey" was really Louise. Valentin resurfaced, but Anna suspected that his disappearance had been linked to the truth about Louise. Peter agreed to leave Louise behind if Maxie left town with him. Carly arrived late at the Haunted Star and caught Sonny in bed with Nina. Carly told Sonny that their marriage was over. Drew overheard Sam open up about her feelings for Dante. Drew and Carly shared a close moment. Dante and Sam admitted that they were in love with each other. Taggert and Portia offered Trina a warning about Esme. Liz marked her first Valentine's Day wedding anniversary without Franco. Liz was unsettled when her wedding dress turned up shredded in a donation box. Terry had a Valentine's Day date with a familiar face.

Adam made Sally the COO of Newman Media. Adam admitted that he felt romantic chemistry with Sally, but they agreed not to explore their feelings until their professional relationship was established. Adam and Sally shared a Valentine's Day toast. Ashland confessed to Victor that he'd funded the Peruvian clinic where he'd received his cancer treatment. Victoria was disappointed to find out that Ashland had kept yet another secret from her. Ashland learned that someone was asking questions about him in Peru, and he instructed an unseen cohort to stick to their plan. Chance missed his first day back at work to take Dominic to the doctor. Abby, Chance, and Devon learned that Dominic's red blood cell count was low and that the baby needed a bone marrow aspiration. Rey confided to Sharon that he sometimes felt that he'd missed out on the parenting experience. Chance joined Rey on a stakeout but panicked when he heard a shot fired. Battling loneliness after leaving the penthouse and moving into the Grand Phoenix, Chelsea dreamed about kissing Rey. Lily and Jack worried about Billy's insomnia. Billy attempted to figure out the source of his restlessness by recording his self-reflective thoughts. Lily proposed that she and Devon engage in a joint venture to create inspirational podcasts, and she put Billy in charge of the project. Noah had a passionate dream about Tessa. The couples of Genoa City celebrated Valentine's Day.
