Detective Sanchez and Chief Baker deliberated about whether Vinny's death had been drug-trade related or whether one of his victims from the paternity test fraud had taken revenge upon him. Quinn had a frank discussion with Carter about her nonexistent sex life with Eric, and Carter urged her to open up the communication with her husband. Quinn attempted to have a romantic evening with Eric, but he preferred to get some sleep. Hope became worried that Liam was distancing himself from their family. At the same time, Bill urged Liam to return to his normal routine. Hope told Liam that she was ready to work on forgiveness, and she invited him to return back home.

John remembered Charlie's shooting, and he believed Belle was the killer because the shooter was in her coat. Trask ordered Rafe to arrest Belle. Jan listened to the recording of John's hypnotherapy session, and she thought about how she had shot Charlie while she had worn Belle's coat. Tripp told Steve and Kayla that he had changed his last name to Johnson. Gwen decided to keep her baby. Abigail told Chad that their relationship was over if Gwen kept his child. Abe told Paulina about Xander's criminal past. Xander schemed with Chanel to get money from Paulina in exchange for a divorce. Ben apologized to Ciara, and she told him that she planned to leave Salem with Theo. Brady admitted to Chloe that he did have feelings for her, but he was committed to Kristen. Jake asked Kate to vacation with him on an island. Vivian demanded that Kristen break up Jake and Kate, or she would tell Brady the truth. Kate uncovered Kristen's disguise, and Kristen knocked Kate unconscious. Sami convinced Lucas to seduce Chloe, but he ended up telling Chloe that he had a brain tumor instead.

Finn cut Anna out of his life when she revealed that Peter had poisoned Chase. A heartbroken Anna gave Finn the remnants of a smashed vial that Peter had claimed had contained the antidote for the serum that Chase had ingested. Michael and Willow agreed that it wasn't the right time to tell Chase about their reconciliation. Laura was disappointed that Nikolas had foolishly played into Cyrus' hands by tracking down and retrieving Florence. Worried that Cyrus would gain the upper hand in the balance of power, Carly enlisted Shawn Butler's help to get Jason out of Pentonville. After Shawn stabbed Jason, Jason was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Shawn confronted Jordan about the secrets that she had kept. Molly told T.J. that she aspired to be a district attorney, but he was not happy. After a 17-year-old boy died of an overdose, Britt found evidence that Cyrus' drug had been responsible. Jax flew to Nixon Falls to talk to Nina. "Mike" and Elijah clashed as each vied for Nina's attention during an annual community dance. Two gunmen attempted to rob people at the dance, but "Mike" and Jax each intervened. Jax was shot in a struggle with a gunman. Before falling unconscious, Jax caught a glimpse of Sonny. Olivia overheard Maxie make a startling confession at Nathan's graveside. Alexis received unexpected help from Cyrus' henchwoman.

Summer walked in on Kyle and Tara having a private chat. Tara stopped Kyle from confronting Ashland. Jack and Kyle scrambled to perform damage control after false code violations shut down multiple Jabot factories, and they suspected Ashland was behind the sabotage. Kyle worried about Harrison's future. Ashland delayed signing a contract to sell Cyaxares to Victoria and instead implored Victor to raise his offer. Ashland suffered a heart attack while attempting to renegotiate the Cyaxares deal at the Newman ranch. Nikki was appalled when she discovered Victor withholding medical help until Ashland signed the Cyaxares contract. Ashland signed the agreement and went into surgery to receive a pacemaker. Billy missed a special date with Lily to accompany Victoria while she confronted Victor. Victoria closed the door on Victor and declared her intent to run Newman Enterprises without his input. Rey fumed when Adam contacted Sharon again, and he decided he could no longer stay at the cottage. Sutton was impressed by Amanda's plan to defend him by portraying her father as a blackmailer rather than a whistleblower. Imani sent a mysterious warning that things would end badly for Amanda. Abby was thrilled when Chance contacted her, but she later crumbled from the frustration of not having him there during Mariah's pregnancy. Lauren suspected that Sally had mistaken her infatuation with Jack for love. Lola unsuccessfully tried to reunite Nate and Elena.
