Hope decided to play upon Thomas' feelings for her in hopes of convincing him to give her parental rights of Douglas. Thomas agreed to do it upon one condition: Hope had to spend one secret night in bed with him.

Gabi demonstrated for Lani her ability to control Julie's pacemaker, and Lani agreed to dump Eli at the altar. Jordan convinced J.J. to pump Rafe's stomach on the way to the ER and saved his life. Haley confirmed that Rafe had cyanide in his body. Ciara found the empty vial of cyanide in Ben's coat pocket, and they determined that Jordan had attempted to poison Ciara. With Jordan's plan in shambles, she went on the run with David. Ben caught up with Jordan long enough to wrestle David away from her. Gina was eager to see John, so she pretended to be Hope. Jack and Jennifer obtained a marriage license. Xander needled Eric and Nicole about Eric's protectiveness of Sarah. Ben had a nightmare on Halloween that Jordan had broken Claire out of jail and gone on a killing spree with the Salem Stalker, Marlena. Eli and Lani's wedding began.

Kendra made certain that Alexis continued to consume the tainted supplement powder. Alexis fell ill with a mystery illness that resembled the flu and included a rash on the palms of her hands. Julian continued to undermine Brad and Lucas' relationship. Lucas confronted Brad about a nude photo that had been sent to Brad. The judge ruled in Franco's favor. Elizabeth told Franco that she would let him go without a fight if he said a proper goodbye to their family. Scott appealed to Sonny for help with Franco. Cameron and Josslyn got drunk during their school's Halloween dance. Trina kissed Dev, but he confessed that he only liked her as a friend. Jack and Traci found an adoption decree among Dina's things, indicating that she'd given birth to an infant named Eric, who had been adopted by the Vanderways. Theo confirmed that his father's name was Eric Vanderway. Kyle was appalled to realize that Theo might be his cousin. Theo agreed to a DNA test. Nick decided to run for city council. Chelsea struggled with living apart from Connor. Connor opted not to go trick-or-treating with Chelsea and Nick, and Connor was pleased when he, Adam, and Chelsea ended up spending the evening as a family. Billy and Adam agreed to go their separate ways. Adam refused to succumb to Phyllis' pressure to join her in a revenge plot against Victor. Adam attempted to pay Phyllis to go away, but she ripped up the check. Sharon and Rey celebrated Halloween by making love. Rey, Phyllis, Kyle, Nick, and Abby had Halloween nightmares about their deepest fears. Amanda agreed to stay in town to help Nate with the medical board inquiry against him. A former associate of Calvin's named Simon approached Chelsea, claiming that the money that had been left in Calvin's storage locker was his. Chelsea begged Kevin to return the money that she'd given him to launder, but he informed her that the government had seized it. Nick became concerned when Chelsea didn't show up for the press conference to announce his candidacy.
