Rafe provided Carrie with a lead that might help John's case. Austin was upset and jealous that Carrie had left town and confided in Rafe and not him. Jennifer realized that she had strong feelings for Jack and Daniel, and decided to date both of them. Abigail was outraged with Jennifer's decision and told her that Jack didn't belong in their lives, and that she was crazy to give up Daniel. Bo and Hope learned that Alice's secret was that Maggie had another child. Maggie was overwhelmed with the news but seemed determined to find her child. Victor made a strange phone call that appeared to have some connection to Maggie's news. John made a video appeal to the people of Salem and declared his innocence. Meanwhile, E.J. moved up in the mayor's poll, while Abe's campaign floundered. Kate and Madison continued their rivalry, and Sami confronted Kate and told her not to interfere with her career. Madison, though happy with her dynamic career, envied Sami's home life with a husband and family. Sami invited Austin to move in with her family before she realized Rafe had lost his job. Roman fired Rafe for his unorthodox involvement with John's defense. Rafe punched Austin and accused him of ratting him out to Roman. Carrie shared good news with John and Marlena about the case. Tension mounted between Sami, Rafe, and Austin.
Matt had a change of heart about going to his celebration party with Maxie, after she suggested that she could use it as an opportunity to write an article for
Crimson. Maxie was livid when she realized that Matt had asked Elizabeth to his party, so she tried to get on the boat. Spinelli decided to follow Olivia's advice to make a move on Maxie before it was too late. Anthony was grateful when Maxie fished him out of the water. Spinelli offered to take Maxie to the boat, so they climbed into a dinghy. Spinelli and Maxie ended up stranded near Spoon Island, where Spinelli saw strange lights near the castle. Lisa stowed away on the boat, as everyone gathered to celebrate Matt's achievement. Matt kissed Elizabeth, but Elizabeth questioned his motives. Lisa managed to overpower Elizabeth, and then throw her overboard. A mystery man pulled Elizabeth's unconscious body out of the water. Sonny advised Lulu to be honest with Dante about her concerns. Sonny went to Jake's, where he saw Kate and Coleman in a heated kiss. Sam was appalled when Carly crashed her honeymoon. Carly and Shawn revealed to Jason that Franco had made contact. Olivia suffered a dizzy spell. Lisa knocked out Robin. Robin was horrified when she woke up bound to a chair, and then saw Patrick, unconscious, on the bed, and Lisa in the stateroom with them.

Kim's friend opened her eyes, and then quietly called out Rex's name, before whispering, "Don't give up." Rama and Cutter framed Kim for the murder of the man that Cutter had inadvertently given an overdose of drugs to during one of his and Kim's scams. Kim was carted off to jail, so Cutter promised to take care of Kim's friend. Cutter decided to use the patient's memory loss to his advantage by passing her off at Gigi. Cutter sought out Rex, to offer Rex the opportunity to be reunited with Gigi. Clint and Rex reached an agreement. Rex promised to return everything that he had taken from Clint, so Clint invited Rex and Shane to continue to live in the mansion. Téa assured Bo that Todd would turn himself in if Bo agreed to drop the murder charges against Todd, because Shane's testimony proved that Jack had lied about seeing Todd moments before Victor's murder. Téa listened to the recording of Victor's final minutes. Todd and Starr received suspended sentences along with community service. John decided to test Brody's gun after Vimal had suggested that a police officer might have killed Victor. Natalie revealed that Brody's gun was not the murder weapon, but John continued to remain suspicious because Brody had threatened to kill Victor. Todd interrupted Tomas' sentencing hearing to confess to shooting Irene. The mayor gave Bo a deadline to find Victor's killer, or Bo would lose his job.

When Nick balked at taking Faith to Sharon's trial, Victor got a court order compelling him to do so. Avery had a photographer snap a picture of Sharon reaching for Faith, hoping it would sway the public in Sharon's favor. After he provided the bone marrow transplant for Delia, Billy wanted to reveal himself to Victoria but didn't. Harmony moved into Kay's mansion, but told Devon she'd return to Milwaukee to give him space. Tucker received a better offer for Jabot than Jack's. Ronan worked with Chance on a massive sting to capture Colin. Lily got in the middle of Colin's hit on Gloria and Genevieve, but Cane saved her. Myrna, Genevieve's housekeeper, was hospitalized after being caught in the gas explosion. Tucker sold Jabot to Jack, and the Abbott family finally regained Jabot. Jill turned on Colin right before the cops arrested him for attempted murder. Lily forgave Cane. Malcolm divorced Sofia and left town because the baby's father was Neil. Adam felt bad about Sharon's plight. Someone stole Ronan's phone and texted the suspects in Diane's murder to meet at a warehouse. Tucker, Ashley, Abby, Jack, Victor, Victoria, Nick, and Phyllis went to the warehouse, where a film projector began to play.
