Jack crashed the Horton Square dedication party in his dramatic return to Salem. Abigail unleashed her anger against Jack for not being a father to her and J.J. and a proper husband to Jennifer. Jack tried desperately to apologize to Jennifer and Abigail for abandoning his family, though he had good reason, and then promised to make amends to them for his past mistakes. Maggie tried to convince Daniel not to give up on his relationship with Jennifer just because Jack was back in Salem. Maggie said yes to Victor's marriage proposal and then asked Melanie to be her maid of honor. Victor and Brady purchased Mad World Cosmetics from Madison James as an operating company of Titan. Kate warned Madison that her company could not compete with Countess Wilhelmina Cosmetics. Later, Kate made plans to get the upper hand on Madison. Sami was pleasantly surprised to learn that her new job was working for a childhood friend. The FBI and Salem Police Department arrested John for embezzling funds from Basic Black. Carrie and Austin found themselves on opposing sides of John's case that might cause problems in their marriage. Just when things looked hopeless for John, Carrie stepped in as his attorney and arranged for him to return home under house arrest. John promised Marlena that he would find the person responsible for setting him up to take the fall for the charges filed against him. Brady remained estranged from John. Lexie and E.J. went at each other over his bid to oppose Abe as Mayor. E.J. hired Nicole to head up public relations for his campaign. E.J. filed a class action suit against John Black on behalf of the wronged people of Salem. Bo and Hope continued to investigate Alice's secret bank account, but came up with more questions than answers.
Franco sent Josslyn a special gift from Hawaii. Jason and Sam arrived in Hawaii for their honeymoon. Sam confessed that she couldn't stop wondering if Jason would have loved her if he had woken up, after the surgery, as the old Jason Quartermaine. Jason assured Sam that he needed her as much as she needed him. Jason and Sam remained oblivious to Franco, who shadowed them on their honeymoon. Lulu agreed to marry Dante, but she took off her engagement ring at every opportunity. Lulu continued to seek solace from alcohol. Ethan had an encounter with Helena at Wyndemere. Helena warned Ethan that there were things in the castle that even she feared. Ethan told Lucky about his strange conversation with Helena. At Ethan's urging, Lucky read the letter that Siobhan had left behind. Maxie was touched when Spinelli gave her a red heart-shaped balloon for BJ's birthday. Matt surprised Maxie with a commemorative brick that he had purchased from the hospital, which was raising money for a renovation project. Matt had gotten the brick inscribed, "In honor of Barbara Jean Jones." Matt talked to Elizabeth about his mother, who had passed away shortly after giving birth to a stillborn child. Spinelli noticed the closeness between Matt and Elizabeth. Shawn, with Carly's help, hid the bags of uncut drugs that Johnny had planted in the warehouse. Michael remained determined to prove to Sonny that he was worthy to be in the mob. Sonny made it clear that he wanted Michael far away from all criminal activity. Luke paid Tracy a surprise visit. Luke claimed that he had stopped drinking, but Tracy remained skeptical. Anthony agreed to keep Tracy's secret about the stolen mob money in exchange for a night of passion with Tracy. Luke overheard Anthony's indecent proposal. Luke tried to enlist Ethan's help with a diamond heist, but Ethan wasn't interested.

Cord and Tina grew closer as they spent time together at Llanfair. Tina was elated when Viki admitted that she wanted to mend her relationship with Tina. Bo saved the Manning family by tossing the bomb that Irene had planted at Victor's house into the pond. Before Bo carted Starr off to jail, Starr managed to let her mother know where Todd intended to meet Irene. Blair sent Tomas to help Todd. Irene admitted that it had been a mistake to give Todd to Peter Manning. Infuriated by the cold remark, Todd managed to knock his gun-wielding mother off balance. Irene was stunned when Todd grabbed the gun, and then shot her in the stomach. Tomas arrived at the docks moments after Irene died, so he took the gun from Todd, and then instructed Todd to run. Tomas confessed to murdering Irene, so John arrested Tomas, even though he didn't believe Tomas' admission. Téa pleaded with her brother to tell the truth about the shooting, but Tomas insisted that he knew what he was doing. Todd made his way to Viki's cabin, where he hallucinated about Irene, as he slowly bled out from his gunshot wound. Blair managed to track Todd down, and nurse his wound. Todd and Blair reminisced about their past as Todd recovered from a fever. James urged Jack to tell the truth, but Jack refused to change his story about seeing Todd at the scene of Victor's murder. Viki questioned Natalie's reasons for wanting to marry Brody. Natalie insisted that she and John were over because John couldn't forgive her, or get past Liam's paternity. Viki confessed that she didn't think that Natalie was in love with Brody. Jessica debated whether or not to show anyone the copy of Liam's paternity test that she had found. Jessica was reluctant to take another child away from Brody, who seemed genuinely happy with his newfound family. Jessica turned to Ford for advice about the paternity test, but he made it clear that it was Jessica's decision to make.

What happened during the week of
Avery used Daniel to get information about Lucy. Phyllis was forced to give in to Daisy's demands and took Lucy to the prison to see her mother. Ronan found Abby's taped confession, and she was arrested for attempted murder. After Jack testified against Kay about the sale of Jabot to Chancellor, the judge returned Jabot to Tucker. Kay collapsed in court and was hospitalized with a brain bleed. Tucker convinced the D.A. to drop the charges against Abby. At the hospital, Tucker overheard Jill reveal that Kay had put Devon in her will. Billy sneaked into the hospital to see Kay. Cane saw Billy and followed him to the trailer. Jill admitted to Tucker that Devon was his biological son. Billy assured Cane that he planned to reveal his return to his family once Delia's bone marrow transplant succeeded. Tucker told Devon that he was his father. Sofia admitted to Malcolm that she loved Neil. Kay refused to apologize to Tucker for keeping the truth about Devon from him. Devon contemplated talking with his mother, Yolanda -- who had changed her name to Harmony -- about Tucker. Victoria had Michael prepare divorce papers, but she couldn't sign them because she still loved Billy. Phyllis decided to put Devon's story on the cover of
Restless Style.
