The stars of the beloved NBC soap Santa Barbara are set to gather together this summer for a once-in-a-lifetime event.

On July 30, 1984, NBC premiered a brand-new soap set in the sunny California haven of Santa Barbara. Named for the city it took place in, the soap told the tale of the wealthy Capwell and Lockridge clans, as well as the working-class Andrade and Perkins families. While it never caught on in the ratings, Santa Barbara aired for nine years and earned a whopping 24 Daytime Emmy awards.

Now, a host of fan favorites will gather together on August 2, for an event bringing stars and fans together for the first time in decades. Lane Davies, who played Mason Capwell and recently appeared as Fergus Byrne on General Hospital, is helping to organize the event through his website.

The Santa Barbara reunion takes place at the Colony Theatre at 555 North 3rd Street in Burbank, CA, and benefits the Conasauga Shakespeare Coalition. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., the event offers three different ticket packages to choose from. A $200 general seating ticket only allows attendance at panel discussions. A $300 Silver package buys you a cocktail reception and panel discussions. Finally, a $500 Gold package offers the same as the Silver but also includes a meet and greet. You can purchase tickets at Eventbrite.

Some of SB's biggest names will be in attendance, including A Martinez and Marcy Walker, who played the show's breakout supercouple Cruz Castillo and Eden Capwell Castillo. While Martinez remains active in the soap world and appears on the digital series The Bay, Walker played Liza Colby on All My Children until 2005, after which she left acting behind.

Davies and GH's Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), who played SB's other big couple, Mason Capwell and Julia Wainwright Capwell, will also be on hand. The actors recently reunited on-screen during Davies' brief GH visit.

Other stars who will be in attendance are: Robin Mattson (Gina Capwell Lockridge), Judith McConnell (Sophia Capwell), Louise Sorel (Augusta Lockridge), Harley Jane Kozak (Mary Duval), Joseph Bottoms (Kirk Cranson), Vincent Irizarry (Scott Clark), Robert Thaler (Pearl), Jane Sibbett (Jane Wilson), Richard Eden (Brick Wallace), Sherilyn Wolter (Elena Nikolas), Terri Garber (Suzanne Collier) Gordon Thomson (Mason Capwell), John Allen Nelson (Warren Lockridge), Robert Brian Wilson (Channing Capwell Jr.), Ava Lazar (Santana Andrade), Robert Newman (Kirk Cranston), Kathy Shower (Janice Harrison), Peter Love (Ric Castillo), Leigh J. McCloskey (Ethan Asher/Dr. Zach Kelton), Miranda Wilson (Sandra Mills), Gina Gallego (Santana Andrade), Joel Bailey (Lindsay Smith), Terry Davis (Madeline Capwell), Michael Brainard (Ted Capwell), Ally Walker (Andrea Bedford), and Steven Meadows (Peter Flint).

Santa Barbara writers and producers will also be there, including Jerome Dobson. Dobson created the soap with his wife, Bridget, who passed away in January. You can also meet Patrick Mulcahey, who was recently head writer at GH, and Michelle Val Jean, who is writing and producing the new CBS soap, The Gates.
