'Tis the season to deck the halls, and the little elves at CBS have been working to craft magical holiday episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.

Beginning next week, CBS is rolling out a flurry of special holiday-theme episodes of its daytime lineup. Think holiday traditions, Christmas magic, and, yes, some ugly Christmas sweaters.

Ugly sweaters would never dare darken the doors of the fashionable Forresters, Logans, and Spencers -- but that doesn't mean that The Bold and the Beautiful won't be getting into the holiday spirit.

On Friday, December 23, the Forrester, Logan, and Spencer families and friends gather at the Forrester mansion to celebrate Christmas and the power of joy, hope, love, and, most importantly, family. Liam will give a touching speech about holiday traditions, and Katie and Carter partake in one of those traditions under the mistletoe. Everyone will also gather around the piano as Eric leads them in singing traditional Christmas carols. The show teases that "a beloved family member receives a Christmas miracle."

Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless will celebrate the magic of the season and a few surprises beginning the week of December 19 and running through the week of December 26. One of those surprises was revealed last month: the return of Michael Damian (Danny Romalotti). As for the other surprises? You'll have to tune in to find out for yourself. Meanwhile, the show promises "a New Year filled with intrigue and romance."

While we focus on the daytime dramas here on Soap Central, the season wouldn't be complete without some reindeer games (also known as Zonks) and maybe even a little Plink-ho-ho-ho!

From Monday, December 19, through Friday, December 23, The Price is Right will air five holiday-themed episodes that include teams of couples, teams of families, contestants decked in ugly Christmas sweaters, a full audience dressed in Santa costumes, and more.

Beginning December 22, Let's Make a Deal kicks off with traders taking a ride on the "Christmas Cash Train." The celebration continues on December 23, with host Wayne Brady writing a letter to Santa, and a wise man playing Car Pong. CBS promises "a Christmas cruise, seven round trips, four cars, and five golden rings."

These dates are subject to change due to news coverage. Be sure to keep an eye here on Soap Central and on our social media feeds -- Twitter: @soapcentral, Instagram: @thesoapcentral, and Facebook: facebook.com/soapcentral -- for any programming changes.

In other programming news, since Christmas is on a Sunday this year, there will be no sports preemptions leading up to the holiday.
