Soap fans looking for a nice way to relax later this summer may want to check out the upcoming William H. Macy film, The Layover. The road trip sex comedy not only features supermodel Kate Upton and comedian Molly Shannon, but also soap opera alums Alexandra Daddario (ex-Laurie Lewis, All My Children), Roark Critchlow (ex-Arthur Harrison, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Mike Horton, Days of our Lives) and Carrie Genzel (ex-Skye Chandler, AMC).
The raunchy comedy follows two best friends (Daddario and Upton) who decide to take a tropical vacation to escape the stress of their lives but end up in St. Louis due to a hurricane. As if that isn't bad enough, the longtime besties begin fighting over the same guy they met on the airplane (Matt Barr).
The Layover, which features Critchlow as Roger and Genzel as a buyer for Harrolds, is scheduled to premiere on DirecTV on August 3 and is set for a theatrical release on September 1.
