Cast of Thunderbolts​*

Thunderbolts​* is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Marvel Studios. In July 2022, Marvel officially announced the film as part of the MCU timeline. The Thunderbolts are a team of reformed villains, each bringing their own strengths and conflicts to the team.

The antiheroes come together to fight against crime to repay their debts to society. Many of the MCU’s famous characters will be reprising their roles in the film. The first official trailer of the film was released in September 2024. It is set to be released in theatres on May 2, 2025. The main cast was revealed at 2022's D23 Expo, and more actors were added until early 2023. Let’s take a look at the cast of Thunderbolts​*.

Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/ The Winter Soldier

Sebastian Stan will be playing the role of Bucky Barnes/ The Winter Soldier in the film. He is returning as a key member of the Thunderbolts. He is a super soldier with a cybernetic arm and is the leader of the Thunderbolts. His first film as Bucky Barnes was Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). After overcoming years of brainwashing as the Winter Soldier, Bucky has redeemed himself by forming the team and using his combat skills to assist them.

Sebastian Stan is a Romanian-American actor, born on August 13, 1982 in Constanța, Romania. He gained worldwide popularity for his role as Bucky Barnes in the MCU. Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/ Black Widow

Florence Pugh will be playing the role of Yelena Belova/ Black Widow in the film. She was seen before in MCU projects like Black Widow (2021) and Hawkeye (2021). She is the surrogate sister of Natasha, and just like her, she was trained to be a Black Widow assassin in the Red Room.

Wyatt Russell will be playing the role of John Walker/ U.S. Agent in the film. He will be reprising his role after appearing in the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021). He was the former government-appointed Captain America who later became U.S. Agent.

David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/ Red Guardian

David Harbour will be playing the role of Alexei Shostakov/ Red Guardian in the film. He will be reprising his role after appearing in Black Widow (2021). He is the Russian version of Captain America and is close to Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova. He is a father figure to them. He was a subject of the super soldier program and was given a version of the serum. He served in the Soviet military for years but was never given a chance to shine.

Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/ Taskmaster

Olga Kurylenko will be playing the role of Antonia Dreykov/ Taskmaster in the film. She will be reprising her role after appearing in Black Widow (2021). She is the daughter of General Dreykov. She has the ability to mimic her opponents' combat skills and is considered one of the deadliest fighters in the MCU.
