With a click or tap, Vimeo subscribers can now get all thirteen webisodes of the Emmy-nominated web series, Gotham, On Demand. Executive-produced by Martha Byrne (ex-Lily Snyder) and directed by Lisa Brown (ex-Iva Snyder), Gotham's original episodes have been combined into a forty-five-minute pilot that subscribers can rent or buy.
In 2009, Bryne and Brown took inspiration from Doug Marland, a highly acclaimed soap writer for As the World Turns and Guiding Light, to create Gotham and continue the story-telling tradition for soap fans. A year later, the character-driven series was nominated for an Emmy in a new category created to recognize new media.
Bryne stars in the series alongside Michael Park (Jack Synder) and a host of other well-known soap stars. In the story, fate confronts their characters, Catherine Prescott and Richard Manning, with a second chance, and they must decide if they'll risk taking it.
Onward and Sideways Media worked with creators to transform the single webisodes into the forty-five-minute pilot for Vimeo On Demand, where subscribers can rent it or buy it for less than $2.00.
