Check out a fun clip of Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children) presenting at the People's Choice Awards and a clip of singer Demi Lovato joking about her whirlwind engagement to Max Ehrich (ex-Fenmore Baldwin, The Young and the Restless).

There were plenty of fun moments during this weekend's People's Choice Awards, which aired live on E! on Sunday, November 15, but two soap-related moments took the cake.

The first features daytime alum Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway, Days of our Lives; ex-Amanda Dillon, All My Children), who joined her Selling Sunset costar Mary Fitzgerald to present the award for Best Comedy Act of 2020. Stause debuted a whole new hair look, complete with 70s-style sweeping bangs, during the presentation, and she also brought laughs with a sweet plug about the third season of her Netflix real estate reality series.

The second soapy moment came from the show's host, singer Demi Lovato, who opened up the awards ceremony with a monologue that included a joke about her short-lived, whirlwind romance with Max Ehrich (ex-Fenmore Baldwin, The Young and the Restless). As fans may recall, the two were engaged for a brief period during quarantine earlier this year but called off the engagement in September.

"I am so excited to be here tonight because, honestly, this year has been the longest three years of my life," Lovato said in her opening monologue. "Don't get me wrong: It started out amazing. I performed at the Grammys and sang the national anthem at the Super Bowl. But then, COVID hit, and everything shut down. So, I did what everyone else did: I went into lockdown mode and got engaged."

Lovato continued with the kicker, sharing, "I got into painting, photography, meditation, tested the limits of Postmates Unlimited. Also, I didn't know this could happen, but [I] reached the end of Instagram four times. I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got unengaged, then went looking for aliens in the desert -- so basically the same as everyone else!"
