WOWZER: The Young and the Restless celebrates its 12,000 episode

Daytime's number one soap opera, The Young and the Restless, is about to mark an incredible milestone: its 12,000th episode!

Ever wondered how many days you've spent watching soap operas? Well, if you're a big fan of The Young and the Restless and have been watching it since its 1973 debut, then you've spent a pretty significant chunk of your life, following the lives of the citizens of Genoa City: The CBS soap opera is about to celebrate its 12,000th episode!

The milestone occasion is set to air on Tuesday, December 1, and fans can look forward to an episode filled with regular content mixed with flashbacks and classic Y&R clips. Viewers can also look forward to a weeklong on-screen celebration leading up to and following the airing of the soap's special 12,000th episode.
