Cast of Dope Thief

Dope Thief is an American crime drama miniseries based on Dennis Tafoya’s novel of the same name. The series is set to premiere on Apple TV Plus on March 14, 2025. It is created by Peter Craig.

The show features Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura as the main cast portraying two guys from Philadelphia named Ray and Manny, respectively. They claim to be DEA agents to rob a house. When it turns out that they robbed an extensive drug enterprise, they face the consequences of their operations.

Brian Tyree Henry as Ray

The American actor Brian Tyree Henry is playing Ray in the show. Ray is Manny’s close friend, with whom he robs minor drug dealers posing as a DEA agent. Teen Ray and Young Ray are portrayed by Idris Debrand and Bentley Cooper, respectively.

Brian Tyree Henry rose to fame for his performance as rapper Alfred "Paper Boi" Miles in the FX comedy-drama series Atlanta (2016–2022), for which he earned a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Wagner Moura as Manny

The Brazilian actor and filmmaker Wagner Maniçoba de Moura, better known as Wagner Moura, plays Manny in the show. Manny is Ray’s close friend, with whom he robs minor drug dealers posing as a DEA agent.

Wagner began his career doing theatre in Salvador, where he worked with renowned directors and soon landed some appearances in films. He landed his first major roles in 2003. He also played an essential role in Carandiru, which helped him become well-known in Brazilian cinema. His portrayal as drug trafficker Pablo Escobar in the television series Narcos in 2015 earned him nominations for multiple accolades, including the Golden Globe. The part also gave him international recognition.

The American actress Marin Ireland plays Mina in the series.

The actress began her career in theatre plays. The New York Times named Marin Ireland "one of the great drama queens of the New York stage" for her work in independent cinema and theater. She has been nominated for a Tony Award and two Independent Spirit Awards.

The Vietnamese-American actor Dustin Nguyen is playing Son Pham in the series.

Nguyen's most well-known roles are those of Johnny Loh on V.I.P. and Harry Truman Ioki on 21 Jump Street. He also played Zing in the martial arts crime drama series Warrior on Cinemax/Max. Nguyen is also recognised for his roles in The Rebel, The Doom Generation, and Little Fish.

Kieu Chinh is a Vietnamese-American actress, producer, humanitarian, lecturer and philanthropist. She began her career in cinema in the 1950s with the film "The Bells of Thien Mu Temple".
