After learning about Art’s decision to retire from tennis regardless of winning or losing in his final match against Patrick, Tashi secretly decides to meet Patrick. She requests Patrick to let her husband win the match in order to boost his confidence and save their marriage.

Patrick, who is initially disgusted by Tashi’s request, goes on to agree with her. However, the two get into a passionate fight before having sex inside his car. Before this, the two also had a one-night stand at the Atlanta Open when Tashi was engaged to Art, who also noticed it happening.
