
Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners is an American period supernatural film that is set to be released in April 2025. The film revolves around twin brothers Smoke and Stack in the 1930s as they attempt to leave their troubled lives behind by going home, only to be confronted by an even greater problem. The star-studded cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell and several other stars.
Who is a part of the cast of Sinners?
Creed star Michael B. Jordan was the first actor cast in the film and that kicked things off for Ryan Coogler’s Sinners. The actor and director combination have collaborated on numerous occasions, including on Creed, Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, all earning critical acclaim. That combined with Jordan’s star presence, Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights after a bidding war before the complete casting took place.

Michael Bakari Jordan, better known as Michael B. Jordan, is an American actor, director and producer who is best known for his roles in Fruitvale Station, Creed and in Black Panther. Born on February 9, 1987, Jordan made his acting debut in 1998, earning small roles across television before his breakthrough in The Wire. Post that, he starred in Friday Night Lights and All My Children before making his big-screen debut in 2001. It wasn’t until his role in Fruitvale Station that Jordan shot to stardom, earning bigger roles in That Awkward Moment, Black Panther, Creed and more in the years since.
Jack O'Connell as Remmick
Jack O'Connell is an English actor who is best known for his role in the British television series Skins as well as his roles in films like This is England, Dive, United and Eden Lake. Born 1 August 1990, the Englishman made his acting debut in 2005 on the small screen before moving to both the stage and films by 2008. However, it wasn’t until his role in Skins and This is England that O’Connell began to earn bigger roles, but his critically acclaimed performances in both Starred Up and ’71 earned him several award nominations. That includes two British Independent Film Awards, one BAFTA for Rising Star which he won and several others throughout his career.
Hailee Steinfeld as Mary

Born on December 11th, 1996, Hailee Steinfeld is an actress and singer who is best known for her role in True Grit, which earned her several award nominations including an Academy Award and a BAFTA. The American actress started her career as a child actor, appearing in several short films before her role in True Grit in 2010. That shot her to stardom and Steinfeld became a prolific actor with roles in Romeo and Juliet, 3 Days to Kill, Pitch Perfect 2 and 3, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and more on the big screen. Not only that, Steinfeld has also released 2 Eps, 21 singles, 12 music videos and several other songs since she made her debut as a singer in 2015.
Jayme Lawson as Pearl
Born September 19th, 1997, Jayme Lawson only made her acting debut in 2020 but has already earned acclaim for her roles in The Batman and The Penguin. She made her debut with the film Farewell Amor in 2020 and The First Lady on the small screen. She has also had roles on Till, How to Blow Up a Pipeline, and The Woman King as well as the television series Genius.
Wunmi Mosaku as Annie

Oluwunmi Mosaku, better known as Wunmi Mosaku, is a Nigerian-born British actress who made her acting debut in 2006. She is best known for her role in the BBC Two miniseries Moses Jones as well as her role in the ITV series Vera. Not only that, she has starred in the film Luther and was cast as Hunter B-15 in the television series Loki within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Furthermore, Mosaku has won several awards over the course of her career including two British Academy Television Awards for her role on Damilola, Our Loved Boy (Best Supporting Actress) and His House (Best Performance by an Actress).
