Tina Knowles is slamming rumors that her daughter, Beyoncé, faked her pregnancy.
Over a decade after the songstress announced that she was expecting Blue Ivy with Jay-Z at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, her mother refuted claims that the Drunk In Love songstress' pregnancy was a sham:
"It was the worst because I couldn't say anything," Tina told People in an interview published April 22. "My daughter was saying, 'No, you're going to make the story bigger.' But it didn't go away for a long time. It's one of the most painful things for me that people could be that disgusting."
She added:
"My family is so precious to me and babies are so sacred," she continued. "So to hear people say the most horrendous things and call my whole family a lie, because we would all have to be part of that conspiracy and lie about something so sacred."

Tina Knowles, 71, who is also the mom of Solange Knowles, shared how difficult it was for her to "have an invisible zipper" on her mouth at the time. She revealed that Beyonce suffered miscarriages before she had Blue Ivy, referring to her grandchild as "the greatest blessing to come to our family after a terrible time":
"With this new pregnancy," Tina wrote, per an excerpt published by The Independent, "Beyoncé understandably wanted to wait a long time before even telling close friends."
She also referred to the pregnancy as "emotionally and physically" turbulent for her daughter, who also mothers 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. The author of Matriarch also got candid about how hard fame can be, noting that:
"People feel they can dog you out any kind of way and you’re not supposed to get upset, but we’re still humans, and it hurts."
However, Tina Knowles has since learned how to tackle the fame and spotlight, even if it makes her mad:
"I deal with lies all the time. I'm dealing with lies now, that I'm having, like, an invisible zipper at my mouth to talk about things now because there's always these crazy rumors that are out there and, people just get to lie and they don't have to suffer any consequences, you know, it is very sad."
As for how she charted a new book, she said:
"It was very carefully written at first with," she says. "But then it was like, this doesn't even make sense because there's only, you know, all the positive stuff. And there was a lot of positivity. But it's my story. It's just the truth."
Matriarch: A Memoir by Tina Knowles retails for $22,86 on Amazon.
