
Born on May 31, 1975, Merle Dandridge is an American actress and singer who is best known for her roles in Broadway musicals, including Rent, Spamalot, Once on This Island, and more. She made her acting debut in 1994 in Once on This Island on stage and was a prolific theatre actress until she got her break on television in 2003. Post that, Dandridge became an equally prolific small screen actress with roles in The Edge, NCIS, 24, CSI: Miami, The Deep End and more. However, it wasn’t until 2011 that she got her first recurring role on Sons of Anarchy.
She then got another recurring role on The Newsroom in 2012 and made her feature film debut around the same time with the 2008 film Nothing but the Truth. However, Dandridge continued to act on stage and television with roles in The Mentalist, Stalker, Perception, Suits, and more. She earned more long-term roles with recurring roles in The Night Shift, Greenleaf, The Flight Attendant, Truth Be Told and Station 19 as well.
