
Ncuti Gatwa is a Rwandan-Scottish actor known for his roles in “Doctor Who (2023)” and “Sex Education (2019).” Born on October 15, 1992, in Nyarugenge, Kigali, Rwanda, Gatwa grew up in Edinburgh and Dunfermline. He attended Boroughmuir High School and Dunfermline High and holds a bachelor's degree in acting from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. Following his graduation, he joined the Dundee Repertory Theatre’s graduation scheme. He played Demetrius in the Shakespeare’s Globe rendition of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in 2016. Gatwa’s television journey began in 2014 with the mini-series “Bob Servant,” where he appeared in a minor role as a male customer.
