Actor Ioan Gruffudd, who married actress Bianca Wallace on Friday, was previously married to Alice Evans, and the custody of the children from that marriage was awarded to his wife, Alice Evans.

The news of his marriage to Bianca Wallace comes amid years of legal battle that have emerged between ex-spouses, Gruffudd and Evans, after he allegedly left his family after thirteen years of marriage in 2021.

Ioan Gruffudd started dating Bianca Wallace in 2021, following his separation from Alice Evans. After four years of dating, the couple, with a nineteen-year age difference, got engaged in January 2024. The news was announced by the couple on Instagram, who wrote:

"The most precious thing happened… ❤️💍,"

In April 2025, the Titanic actor tied the knot with Bianca Wallace on Friday, 25 April, in an intimate beachside wedding ceremony attended by closest friends and family, according to People Magazine. The news of their marriage was revealed by the couple on Instagram through a joint post. They wrote:

"Mr & Mrs Gruffudd. Marriage now, wedding later."

Ioan Gruffudd's marriage comes amidst a lengthy court battle in which the actor has been involved since 2021. Gruffudd had married Alice Evans in 2007. They had met while filming 102 Dalmatians, according to People Magazine. The former couple welcomed two daughters, Ella and Elsie, during the course of their marriage.

The news of their split was announced by Evans in a now-deleted tweet, alleging the Arthur actor suddenly announced the decision to leave his family, according to Page Six. Later, the couple released a joint statement to the publication, saying:

"As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy."

Things only got worse for the former couple from then on, as in 2022, Ioan Gruffudd filed a petition for alleged domestic violence against Alice Evans. Evans denied the allegations and, in turn, filed her own petition, asking for complete custody of the couple's two children, as well as child support and spousal support from Gruffudd.

In 2023, although they finalized their divorce, the situation turned more complicated, as their elder daughter, Ella, filed a restraining order against Bianca Wallace, alleging that the Dora and the Lost City of Gold actress slammed a door into her head when she went to visit her father at his new home. However, in June 2023, the judge denied her request to grant the restraining order, according to Page Six.

Ioan Gruffudd, who previously starred as Reed Richards or Mr. Fantastic, in the 2005 movie, Fantastic Four, claimed in 2024 that he had arranged for his daughters to attend therapy sessions to help them better deal with their emotions during the situation, but were not allowed by his ex wife, Alice Evans, according to Daily Mail.

The issue regarding spousal and child support payments is still pending, as Ioan Gruffudd claims that Alice Evans lied about her earnings, adding that she initiated a smear campaign to tarnish his reputation and accused her of violating her restraining order.
