“I get propositioned” — Michelle Pfeiffer recalls first acting gig in car commercial

Popular actress Michelle Pfeiffer recently spoke to People about how nervous she was while doing her first gig, recalling how she was propositioned more than once during the job.

The 66-year-old actress' glorious stint in Hollywood was celebrated recently, with her hand prints and footprints being cemented at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, during the TCM Classic Film Festival on April 25.

"And I arrive at the designated meeting spot, which is the production office," Pfeiffer told People. "It's the middle of the night. And, because it's out in Malibu somewhere, I don't even know where that is, and there's no one there. So an hour goes by and I get propositioned, more than once." Pfeiffer recalled her first gig during her speech.

Pfeiffer elaborated that her earliest acting gig was a Ford truck commercial, adding that she was very excited at that point, having taken acting classes. So, she set off for the job in her Volkswagen Beetle, clad in a terrycloth jumpsuit.

She recalled how she reached the venue and had to wait for two hours, not seeing anyone around. She elaborated:

"I'm freaking out because this is my big break and the sun is up, and I know they're shooting without me, but I think, 'OK, well this is a place of employment. Someone's got to show up. So 9 a.m. someone shows up."

Pfeiffer was accompained by Elle Fanning, Dakota, Ben Mankiewicz and David E.Kelly at the TCM ceremony as per People. The actress mentioned that she loves her job and she still thinks about her first gig, and that she would reach her set hours before.

Michelle makes you feel held as a person and supported as an actor. She's present, thoughtful and utterly dedicated to excellence effortlessly. She just brings up everyone around her."
