He was born on December 18, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and raised in Springfield, Missouri. He started his acting career in the late 1980s and his breakthrough came with Thelma & Louise (1991). He made his name in the entertainment industry with films like Legends of the Fall (1994), Seven (1995), and Fight Club (1999).


He is one of the most acclaimed actors in Hollywood and has been nominated for his work as an actor and producer in films like 12 Monkeys (1995), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Moneyball (2011), 12 Years a Slave (2013), The Big Short (2015), and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). Los Feliz mansion

Brad Pitt bought a mansion in Los Feliz, California from Cassandra Peterson in 1994 for $1.7 million. After a few years, Pitt bought two neighboring properties to expand his mansion when he started dating Angelina Jolie. According to Variety, the 1.9-acre property cost nearly $5 million. The mansion includes a Craftsman main house which spans over 6,692 square feet, a private tennis pavilion, a skate park, and a big outdoor swimming pool. In early 2023, Pitt listed the house for sale in the market for $40 million. Two months later, in March 2023, he sold the house to the oil heiress Aileen Getty for $33 million.


Vacation house in Santa Barbara


In 2000, after marrying Jennifer Aniston, Pitt bought an 11-acre ocean-front vacation property near Gaviota State Park, Santa Barbara for $4 million. When he was married to Angelina Jolie, the couple used this property as a vacation retreat to enjoy their time with their kids.


Beverly Hills mansion

In 2001, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston bought a mansion in Beverly Hills for $12.5 million. The house was designed by Wallace Neff and spans over 11,173 square feet. The house was originally built in 1934 in a French Normandy Revival style for actor Fredric March and his wife. Pitt and Aniston renovated the house, which took 3 years. They added a bar, heated marble floors, and a screening room. After they split in 2005, they sold the property for $28 million in 2006.


Bachelor Pad in Malibu


According to Architectural Digest, in 2005, Pitt bought a midcentury-modern bachelor pad in Malibu for $8.4 million. The house was originally built in 1962 and has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 3 fireplaces, and a tennis court. Pitt spent millions of dollars on the renovation of the house and listed the house for sale in 2009. In 2011, the house was sold for $12 million.


French Quarter mansion


In 2006, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie bought a house in the French Quarter, New Orleans for $3.5 million. The house was originally built in the 1830s in a traditional brick style and spans over 7,650 square feet. After their divorce, Pitt and Jolie sold the house in 2016 for $4.9 million.


Chateau Miraval, France

In 2011, Pitt and Angelina first rented and then bought a villa named Chateau Miraval in the French countryside for $60 million. It includes a chateau and a winery which they used for creating their wine brand. In 2014, the couple got married on this property. In 2021, Pitt started working with Damien Quintard, a French producer, to restore a recording studio on the real estate.


Villa in Mallorca, Spain


According to Architectural Digest, in 2016, Pitt and Jolie bought a private villa in Mallorca, Spain for $3.9 million. The villa spans over 9,687 square feet and has 8 bedrooms and a swimming pool with a view of the Balearic Sea. The couple was spotted together many times in that area. It is not known whether Pitt still owns the villa or not.


Bungalow in Carmel, California

In 2022, Pitt bought a seaside bungalow in Carmel, California, for $40 million. According to The Wall Street Journal, this purchase was one of the most expensive property deals in Carmel. The house was designed by Charles Sumner Greene in a craftsman style. It was originally built in 1918. The property spans over 3,000 square feet and includes a separate wing for the live-in staff and a basement-level library.


Los Feliz house


In 2023, when he sold his Los Feliz mansion to the oil heiress Aileen Getty, in return he bought her mid-century-modern pad for $5.5 million. The house spans over 2,000 square feet and was designed by architect Neil M. Johnson in 1960. It includes terrazzo floors, beamed ceilings, a rectangular roofline, a hot tub, a sauna, and a fireplace.
