During a recent episode of Jenna and Friends, hosted by Jenna Bush Hager with Justin Sylvester as a guest, Sarah Jessica Parker shared insights about her parenting journey. The former Sex and the City star primarily discussed her twin daughters, Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, who are 15 years old, addressing the misconceptions that often surround the siblings.

Early in the interview, while in conversation with Hager, Parker shared

“I feel like there's a sort of unfair idea about teenage twin girls. I find mine really likable.”

Growing up under the scrutiny of the public eye is no easy task. In that respect, Parker, 60, came to the defence of her children who are maturing into adulthood.

When elaborating on the issue, Parker spoke about the similarities she shares with Hager, whose parents, former U.S. President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush, also had a set of twins.

“I'm sure your parents felt this way. It's like you're constantly in a control study, because you have one of this type and one of this type.”

Parker then added even more context to what she was trying to say,

“And they go to the same school, and they have reactions. I can say to the school, like, ‘This is a proper control study. Like this is feelings, and they can kind of tell the story of the larger group,’ But, they're just really interesting. They're, generally speaking, really kind and curious.”

Clearly, the And Just Like That star is thrilled with how her daughters have navigated their younger years and is excited about what's next. She also seems to embrace their individuality since they are both unique in their own ways. Parker has highlighted this in the past, including a 2018 PEOPLE interview where she described them as being close to one another but also markedly different.

"They're really devoted to each other, but they'll also say, 'I need time away from her.’ Tabitha can play by herself for hours. Loretta always needs to be checking in.”

Sarah Jessica Parker has been married to actor Matthew Broderick since 1997. In addition to their 15-year-old twins, Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, they also have a 21-year-old son, James Wilkie.

Later in the same interview, Parker discussed the experiences and pitfalls of playing Carrie Bradshaw in the' Sex and the City' universe ahead of the release of season 3 of' And Just Like That. '

“And I try to describe it as being contractually obligated to play somebody else, be somebody else for about 27 years — to behave in ways which would be illegal if I, as a married person with children — ways in which I would behave in the city or with men.”

Clearly, her long-term experience portraying the beloved character has enriched her life in many ways. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, it is still acting, and Parker acknowledges that her true self doesn't align with Carrie's as closely as many might think.
