It was first released on July 15, 2016, and currently has 4 seasons with the 5th and final season in the making. The show is set in the 1980s in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. When will Stranger Things Season 5 get released?

In November 2024, Netflix confirmed that Stranger Things' 5th and final season will be released in 2025. The date is not revealed yet but it is expected to be released in early 2025. Netflix announced that the shooting of season 5 officially began on January 8, 2024. At first, the shooting was supposed to start in the summer of 2023, but the writers' strike in May and the SAG-AFTRA actors' strike 2 months later delayed the production of Stranger Things season 5.

In March 2024, Millie Bobby Brown appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show to promote her film Damsel and revealed that they have 9 months left of production.

Most of the cast members who were a part of Stranger Things Season 4 will be returning for the 5th and final season of the show. She grew up in a lab as a child test subject under Project MKUltra held by the government. After escaping the lab, she became friends with Mike, Dustin, Luke, Will, and Max. Over the seasons, their bond became stronger. She and Mike shared a special bond and started dating. Eleven played an important role in fighting against the supernatural forces from the Upside Down and protecting her friends, family, and town, Hawkins.

Lucas Sinclair played by Caleb McLaughlin

Caleb McLaughlin will be continuing his role as Lucas Sinclair in Stranger Things Season 5. He is one of the main characters of the show. He is portrayed as a complex and loyal person. Over the seasons, he developed a special bond with Max Mayfield and they started dating. Their relationship added depth to his character. He formed a bond with Nancy while uncovering the mysteries taking place in Hawkins. They developed feelings for each other and started dating. His investigating skills helped in the fight against the supernatural forces from the Upside Down.

Steve Harrington played by Joe Keery

Joe Keery will be continuing his role as Steve Harrington in Stranger Things Season 5. Steve was introduced as a typical popular high school student. Initially, he was arrogant, self-centered, and rude but over the seasons, he changed. His attitude towards others changed and he became a caring and protective figure for the kids. He formed a unique friendship with Dustin and guided him as a big brother. He helped and protected them in the fight against the Upside Down. New additions to Stranger Things Season 5

In Season 5, there will also be new additions to the cast of Stranger Things. In July 2024, Netflix announced that Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux would be joining the cast. In 2023, Linda Hamilton announced at Netflix’s global fan event Tudum that she would be part of the final season of Stranger Things.

Nell Fisher

Nell Fisher is a British actress, born on November 2, 2011. She is known for her work in films including Northspur (2022), Evil Dead Rise (2023), Choose Love (2023), and Bookworm (2024). She has been a part of the TV series My Life is Murder in 2022 where she played the role of Olive Crowe. In 2024, she joined the cast of Stranger Things Season 5 which will be released in early 2025.

Jake Connelly

Jake Connelly is an American actor who is known for his work in the short film Between the Silence in 2022 where he played the role of Jakub. In 2024, he joined the cast of Stranger Things Season 5.

Alex Breaux

Alex Breaux is an American actor who is best known for his work in the TV series Joe Pickett (2021) where he played the role of Camish Grimmengruber and The Waco: Aftermath (2023) where he played the role of Timothy McVeigh. He has been a part of many projects including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2021), FBI (2018), The Dead Don’t Hurt (2023), Foxhole (2021), etc. In 2024, he joined the cast of Stranger Things Season 5.

Linda Hamilton

Linda Hamilton is an American actress, born on 26 September 1956 in Salisbury, Maryland. She started her acting career at the age of 23. She is best known for her work in the Terminator film series- The Terminator (1984), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), and Terminator: Dark Fate (2019). She has been part of many films like Black Moon Rising (1986), Mr. Destiny (1990), Dante's Peak (1997), The Kid & I (2005), etc. In 2023, she joined the cast of Stranger Things Season 5.

How many episodes will Stranger Things Season 5 have?

Recently, Netflix revealed that there will be 8 episodes in the 5th and final season of Stranger Things. Along with the number of episodes, Netflix also revealed the titles of all 8 episodes. The 5th season is set in the fall of 1987.

The titles of the episodes are: “The Crawl”, “The Vanishing of ...”, “The Turnbow Trap”, “Sorcerer”, “Shock Jock”, “Escape from Camazotz”, “The Bridge”, and “The Rightside Up”. The makers of Stranger Things didn’t reveal much when they announced the titles for Season 5. In the title of Episode 2, they didn’t reveal the name of the character who will vanish in the final season. They have left a blank to build the anticipation of fans.
